Jase Richardson Reportedly 'Connected' to 'Late Lottery' Teams in 2025 NBA Draft
Michigan State guard Jase Richardson is reportedly gaining some momentum as a potential lottery pick ahead of the 2025 NBA draft.
According to Kevin O'Connor of Yahoo Sports, Richardson "has been connected to teams drafting in the late lottery," on the heels of a successful freshman season at MSU.
In his one and only campaign with the Spartans, Richardson averaged 12.1 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.3 three-pointers made per game, while shooting an impressive 49.3 percent from the field and 41.2 percent from beyond the arc.

Richardson, who is the son of former NBA guard and two-time Slam Dunk Contest champion Jason Richardson, was a member of the Big Ten All-Freshman Team and the All-Big Ten Third Team last season.
While Richardson was listed at 6'3" at Michigan State, O'Connor noted that he measured in at only 6-foot at the NBA Draft Combine, leading to some questions about his ceiling at the next level.
Still, O'Connor pointed out that Richardson has garnered NBA interest due to his "lethal midrange game and a poised pick-and-roll feel," and he projected Richardson to go 12th overall to the Chicago Bulls as a result.
Bleacher Report NBA draft expert Jonathan Wasserman suggested that Richardson's height "could scare a few teams" since he is a better fit at shooting guard rather than point guard, and he had Richardson falling to the Miami Heat at No. 20 overall in his latest mock draft.
That range may be a sign that Richardson's stock is one of the most uncertain things in the draft, and it could make him one of the most intriguing storylines to follow on draft night.
The 2025 NBA draft is just two weeks away, as it will emanate from Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, on June 25 and 26.
