Tyrese Haliburton Says Leg Injury Is 'Fine', Won't Affect NBA Finals G3 Availability

Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton says he is dealing with a "lower leg thing" but expects to be available for Wednesday's Game 3 of the 2025 NBA Finals.

"I'm fine. Really just a lower leg thing. Will probably leave it at that. I don't think there's anything more to elaborate. I feel fine, and I'll be ready to go for Game 3," Haliburton told reporters Tuesday.

Haliburton appeared to be limping when he left his media availability following the Pacers' Game 2 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday.

The Pacers and Thunder will meet for Game 3 on Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. ET as the Finals swing to Indianapolis.

When asked about Haliburton's apparent limp on Tuesday, Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle told reporters that "at this time of year, I don't know anybody's feeling perfect."

"He practiced, and he went through everything," Carlisle said. "I know he has some discomfort, he feels it, but each day, it's getting better. I don't think you're going to hear him making a big deal out of it."

Carlisle continued: "We've got a couple guys that are slightly under the weather, but I don't think anything's gonna keep these guys from playing in the game."

Multiple reporters shared videos of Haliburton participating in the portion of Tuesday's practice open to media with tape on the back of his left calf.

ESPN's Shams Charania said in a Tuesday appearance on The Pat McAfee Show that he had been told Haliburton was "feeling a lot better" on Monday and that he "had not heard any concern level for his actual game status."

Haliburton played hero for the Pacers in Game 1 of the Finals by helping his team recover from a late 15-point deficit with a last-second game-winning shot.

The Pacers were then unable to overcome a second straight early deficit against the Thunder in Game 2. Haliburton posted just three points and three assists in the first half, and Indiana trailed by 18 at halftime.

Haliburton, who finished Sunday's game with 17 points and five turnovers, told reporters he would have to "figure out how to be better earlier in games."

Making sure Haliburton is healthy enough to improve his first-half performances will be key to the Pacers taking back their series lead on Wednesday at home.
