Novak Djokovic Says He Can 'Still Play on the Highest Level' Before Roland-Garros SF
Novak Djokovic hasn't won a grand slam tournament since the 2023 U.S. Open, but after beating Alexander Zverev in the quarterfinals of the French Open on Wednesday, he believes he's still a major threat in men's tennis.
"I still push myself on a daily basis at this age because of these kind of matches and these kind of experiences," the 38-year-old told reporters following his 4-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-4 victory. "It's a proven kind of testament to myself that I can—and to others that I can—still play on the highest level."

Zverev, meanwhile, basically threw up his arms while discussing the loss.
"What do you want me to say? He's won 24 of these things," he told reporters.
Djokovic's quest to a 25th will now go through top-seeded Jannik Sinner on Friday. The two have split their eight matchups, though Sinner has claimed three victories in a row and hasn't dropped a set during his run to the Roland Garros semifinals.
"I just hope that I will be able to physically keep up with Sinner in few days' time," Djokovic acknowledged. "It's a big challenge for me."
Doubt him at your own peril.
