Scott Foster, Full List of Officials Assigned to Pacers vs. Thunder NBA Finals
The officials for the NBA Finals matchup between the Indiana Pacers and Oklahoma City Thunder are set.
The NBA announced the full list of officials assigned to the biggest series of the season on Tuesday:
The group of officials is highlighted by Scott Foster, who will call his 18th NBA Finals. It will be the 14th Finals appearance for Tony Brothers and Marc Davis, the 13th Finals for James Capers and the 12th for Zach Zarba.
Foster has officiated the most Finals games of this year's group with 25. Davis has worked 21 and Brothers has called 17 games.
Tyler Ford and Ben Taylor, both of whom were alternates for the 2023 and 2024 Finals, are first-time selections this year.
“We are grateful for these 12 individuals and their dedication to serving the game at the highest levels throughout the season,” said Byron Spruell, NBA President, League Operations. “Being selected to work the NBA Finals is the top honor as an NBA official, and I congratulate this exceptional group on a worthy achievement.”
The officials were selected after being judged on their overall performance throughout the playoffs so far. They were evaluated by the NBA Referee Operations management team after each round of the playoffs.
The crew for each game will be announced at 9 a.m. ET on each game day.
The Thunder, who came into the postseason with the best record in the NBA, cruised past the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round before winning a hard-fought, seven-game series with the Denver Nuggets. Oklahoma City downed the Minnesota Timberwolves in five games to reach the Finals for the first time since 2012.
The Pacers dropped both the Milwaukee Bucks and the Cleveland Cavaliers in five games in the first and second rounds. Indiana then beat the New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference Finals to make the Finals for the first time since 2000.
The first game of the series will tip off at 8:30 p.m. ET in Oklahoma City on Thursday.
