NBA Combine Results 2025, Wednesday Scrimmage Highlights and Top Prospects

Joseph ZuckerMay 14, 2025

The 2025 NBA draft combine continued Wednesday in Chicago, with prospects getting to showcase their skills in a pair of scrimmages.

Auburn guard Tahaad Pettiford was the standout performer as Team Lazare beat Team Domercant 104-80. He finished with a game-high 23 points and dished out eight assists.

In his most recent mock draft, Bleacher Report's Jonathan Wasserman didn't have Pettiford listed, though he thought the freshman was boosting his stock in the NCAA tournament.

Thanks to the combine, Pettiford might be solidifying himself as a top-60 prospect.

UAB star Yaxel Lendeborg did make the cut in Wasserman's mock, going 27th overall to the Brooklyn Nets. While he entered the transfer portal and committed to Michigan in April, the odds of Lendeborg suiting up for the Wolverines are likely getting lower and lower.

The 6'9" forward had 13 points, nine rebounds and one block in a losing effort for Team Domercant. He's making a compelling case in Chicago to be a first-round pick, and that might be enough to convince him to leave college ball behind.

Indiana forward Mackenzie Mgbako (14 points and eight rebounds), Wake Forest guard Hunter Sallis (14 points and 10 rebounds) and Australian forward Alex Toohey (15 points and 3-of-5 on three-pointers) all had positive showings in the first scrimmage as well.

In the second scrimmage, Stanford center Maxime Raynaud grabbed the spotlight despite Team Williams coming up short in an 80-76 loss to Team Mueller. The 7-footer had 20 points on 7-of-12 shooting along with nine boards and three assists.

Wasserman projected Raynaud to go 29th to the Phoenix Suns. After the combine, the French big will feel much better about his chances of being a first-rounder.

Raynaud owes some credit to Gonzaga guard Ryan Nembhard, who had eight assists to accompany his 13 points. Nembhard's selflessness and court vision won't have gone unnoticed by NBA evaluators.

Memphis guard PJ Haggerty led the way for the winning side. He shot 7-of-13 en route to an 18-point game and filled out the box score with seven rebounds, three assists and two steals.

Haggerty also confirmed his next steps after having entered the transfer portal. He said in his postgame interview he's "100 percent in the draft."

North Carolina State head coach Will Wade will have to look elsewhere after being linked with the sophomore.

The scrimmages will continue Thursday at the combine, with the first tipping off at 2:15 p.m. ET and the second to follow at 4:15 p.m.
