NFL Strength of Schedule for All 32 Teams Revealed Ahead of 2025 Schedule Release
After tying for the NFL's worst record in 2024, the New York Giants might be facing tough sledding once again.
Based on opponent winning percentage from last year, New York (.574) will have the toughest schedule. The Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions are next on the list at .571.
At the other end of the spectrum, the San Francisco 49ers have the easiest schedule (.415).

The collective performance of the NFC North in 2024 helps to explain why the Giants are so high on the list despite their 3-14 record, and why the Bears, Lions, Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings follow closely behind.
New York and its NFC East rivals are matched up against the North this year, which means taking on a division where three teams notched 11 or more wins.
In terms of inter-conference matchups, the East also crosses path with the AFC West, another division that produced three playoff teams a year ago.
The NFL schedule makers certainly did Giants head coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen few favors with both on the hot seat.
Granted, strength of schedule doesn't account for how teams got better or worse in the offseason.
This time last year, a lot of AFC North teams were near the top of the strength of schedule list because all four of its members had a winning record in 2023. It wasn't as good from top to bottom thanks to the Cleveland Browns going 3-14.
The Houston Texans likewise benefited from the Jacksonville Jaguars falling off badly and the Tennessee Titans slumping to the NFL's joint-worst record. Games outside of the division against the New York Jets and Dallas Cowboys were easier than a lot of people expected, too.
As a predictor for a team's future success, strength of schedule offers limited value.
The NFL will reveal the full regular-season slate on May 14.
