Real Madrid's Kylian Mbappe Reacts to His Wax Statue at Madame Tussauds in New Video
Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé was highly impressed after coming face to face with a wax statue of himself that will soon be on display at Madame Tussauds in London.
Mbappé had a big smile on his face when seeing the statue for the first time and had his picture taken next to the life-like sculpture:
Per ESPN's Adriana Garcia, Mbappé was taken aback by the up-to-date uniform and cleats on his wax figure, saying: "The new [France] jersey. Even the new [soccer] boots. That is me. I love it. Amazing. Handsome. Oh my God, you got everything guys ... Yes, that's me ... It's a perfect job."
Mbappé added: "It's a big achievement for me, a big honor to be part of the big Madame Tussauds family. I am really happy and even more when you see the results. It is amazing. I'm really proud to be here. It is a big day for me."
The 26-year-old Mbappé is in the conversation as the best player in the world currently, as he has scored 20 La Liga goals and 31 goals across all competitions in his first season at Real Madrid.
Los Blancos are tied with rival FC Barcelona for first place in La Liga, and they have reached the semifinals of the 2024-25 UEFA Champions League.
Mbappé joined Real Madrid last summer after spending the previous seven seasons at Paris Saint-Germain, and he hasn't missed a bit.
While still in search of his first UEFA Champions League title, Mbappé has essentially accomplished everything else during his career.
Most notably, he led France to a FIFA World Cup win in 2018 and won the Young Player Award for the tournament before helping them finish as the runner-up in the 2022 World Cup.
France figures to be among the top contenders once again at the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico, and Mbappé's play will play a big role in whether they come out on top again.
While soccer fans will have the opportunity to enjoy Mbappé in the World Cup next summer, those who want an up-close look at him can visit his wax statue at Madame Tussauds beginning next month on Easter.
