Report: Notre Dame Hires Recruiting Staffer Jourdan Blake from Deion Sanders, Colorado
After coming up short in the national championship game against Ohio State, Notre Dame is making an addition to its recruiting office.
Per On3's Mike Singer, the Fighting Irish hired Colorado's Jourdan Blake to a role in their recruiting office on Monday. Blake was an assistant director of player personnel on Deion Sanders' staff and had been with the Buffaloes since 2023.
Blake played cornerback for Baylor from 2014 to 2017 and SMU in 2018. After his playing days, Blake was the recruiting coordinator for SMU for three seasons and spent one season as TCU's recruiting coordinator. He returned to SMU to be the director of recruiting operations in 2022 before joining Colorado.
Blake also was a scouting intern for the Houston Texans last July.
Notre Dame lost a handful of recruiting staffers this offseason. General manager Chad Bowden and director of player personnel Zaire Turner left for USC and director of recruiting Caleb Davis departed for San Diego State.
Notre Dame replaced Bowden with Mike Martin, the former director of scouting advancement for the Detroit Lions. Under Martin, the Fighting Irish will look to continue putting together a championship roster, and the addition of Blake should help.
Notre Dame had a tremendous season in 2024, overcoming an early upset to Northern Illinois to win 13 games in a row on the way to the title game against the Buckeyes.
The Fighting Irish will reload with the No. 12 recruiting class, per 247Sports, and try to make another run to the championship game next season.
