Report: Former Cowboys WR Michael Gallup to Visit Seahawks Amid NFL Comeback Attempt
As Michael Gallup attempts to make his NFL comeback, the former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver has a visit with a new team scheduled.
Per Fox Sports' Jordan Schultz, the 29-year-old Gallup is set to visit the Seattle Seahawks on a free-agent visit. Gallup also visited the Washington Commanders earlier this month.
Gallup, a third-round pick in 2018, had a handful of productive seasons with the Cowboys, including in 2019 when he recorded 1,107 receiving yards and six touchdowns in 14 games.

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
After a tremendous start, Gallup's time in Dallas was impacted by injuries. He played just nine games in 2021 and suffered a torn ACL in January before missing three games in 2022.
He was healthy in his most recent season in 2023, finishing with 418 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He was released by Dallas ahead of the offseason.
Gallup joined the Las Vegas Raiders last offseason and was expected to be a contributor, but he retired in July after participating in the team's OTAs and minicamp. His retirement "came up out of the blue" according to former Raiders general manager Tom Telesco.
While the exact reason for Gallup's abrupt retirement is unclear, he's now ready to get back into the NFL and it seems at least a handful of teams are interested.
The Seahawks have a WR2 after signing Cooper Kupp to play alongside Jaxon Smith-Njigba last week, but they could still use another wideout after DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett's departures this offseason.
If Gallup is still in NFL-shape, Seattle might be willing to give him an opportunity to get back on the field.
