Colorado is looking to continue improving in its third year under head coach Deion Sanders despite the offseason losses of notable contributors including starting quarterback Shedeur Sanders and 2024 Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter.
Colorado's spring game has drawn plenty of attention throughout the elder Sanders' tenure. Coach Prime's first spring game in 2023 contained an attendance of 47,277, the highest in school history.
28,424 fans also showed up to watch the Buffaloes' 2024 Black & Gold contest.
Spring football for Colorado in 2025 started on March 11 and will continue through March 24. Players will then be off for their break before returning to the field on April 1.
After wrapping up a 4-8 finish in 2023, the Buffaloes took a large step forward during their 2024 campaign and ended the year at 9-4. It marked their first season with at least nine wins since 2016.
Colorado's 2025 recruiting class was ranked No. 37 in the country by 247Sports. The Buffaloes' 2025 transfer class also received the No. 26 ranking.
The upcoming spring game should give fans a closer look at the quarterback competition brewing in Boulder. Julian Lewis is entering his first year at the school, as he was listed as the No. 6 quarterback in the 2025 recruiting class (via 247Sports' composite rankings).
The Buffaloes also landed Kaidon Salter in the transfer portal. Salter thrived at Liberty over the past two years, throwing for 4,762 yards and 47 touchdowns compared to 12 interceptions in 25 combined games since the start of the 2023 season.
As Colorado prepares for its 2025 campaign, the date and time of the school's spring game is officially set.
