NFL Rumors: Aaron Rodgers 'Known for Being Good with Younger QBs' Despite Perception
Aaron Rodgers isn't viewed as a player that's difficult for young quarterbacks to work with despite his reputation, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
Fowler also noted that the New York Giants could target the veteran passer and still select a quarterback in the 2025 NFL draft.
"It's interesting that talking to people around the league, despite Aaron Rodgers' unique personality I would say, he is known for being good with younger quarterbacks; Zach Wilson, Jordan Love, he is a good shepherd in that regard," Fowler said on SportsCenter. "So, it seems that the Giants wouldn't necessarily be against that."

2025 Draft Picks Ready For Leap 🐸

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
New York owns the No. 3 overall pick in April's draft.
Giants general manager Joe Schoen revealed that the front office is searching for an experienced option under center even if a quarterback is selected early.
"Even if you get a young quarterback, you'd like to have a vet in the room with him to show him the ropes and how to be a pro," Schoen said, per ESPN's Jordan Raanan.
Fowler also reported Sunday that Rodgers is "on the Giants' radar."
After the 41-year-old was traded from the Green Bay Packers to the New York Jets in 2022, Jordan Love stepped into the Packers' starting role. Rodgers has praised his former teammate on several occasions since.
Rodgers also previously detailed his relationship with Zach Wilson, who replaced him at quarterback for the Jets after the four-time MVP suffered a torn Achilles at the start of the 2023 season.
"I love Zach, and always looked at him like a little brother, and you know, I enjoyed our time together on and off the field, and I wish him all the success," Rodgers said in Sept. 2024, per Bridget Reilly of the New York Post. "I was really happy for him the way he finished up preseason and you know, I think this will be a good year for him to kind of reset and hopefully he gets an opportunity down the road."
While Rodgers may covet a starting role after staying atop the Jets' depth chart in all 17 games last season, he doesn't seem to be opposed to mentoring a younger quarterback.
