5-Star CFB Prospect Jaxx DeJean Gets Michigan Offer; Brother of Eagles' Cooper DeJean

Paul KasabianFeb 15, 2025

Five-star class of 2027 athlete Jaxx DeJean, the younger brother of Philadelphia Eagles defensive back Cooper DeJean, announced that he has received an offer to play football at Michigan.

The 6'6", 205-pound DeJean, who plays high school ball at OABCIG High School in Iowa, is ranked as the No. 29 overall prospect on the 247Sports Composite list of class of 2027 high school football players.

DeJean is a four-sport star who also plays basketball and baseball while competing in track and field. He has four offers from Michigan, Iowa, Kansas State and UAB, per 247Sports.

Given that his brother played for Iowa and that he's from the state, one can surmise that the Hawkeyes will get heavy consideration ahead of his commitment date.

Michigan certainly appears in the running as well, of course, and the Wolverines are also faring well recruiting in the Sherrone Moore era (sixth in the class of 2025, per 247Sports).

"As a freshman at OABCIG, DeJean did a little bit of everything. He hauled in 500 receiving yards and seven touchdowns while also rushing for five scores on offense," Hunter Shelton of On3 noted. On defense, he snatched four interceptions and also recovered a pair of fumbles."

Overall, it's been a great couple of weeks for the DeJeans, especially after Cooper snatched a pick-six off Patrick Mahomes in a 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX.

Now, Jaxx DeJean is stacking up his options in college as Michigan throws its hat into the ring.
