Pujols Ties Angels' Single-Month Record with 13 Home Runs
Los Angeles Angels first baseman Albert Pujols looked like the best version of himself during the season's third month, tying a franchise single-month record with his 13 home runs in June, per ESPN Stats & Info.
The last of those 13 homers was a game-tying solo blast off Yankees pitcher Ivan Nova in the sixth inning of Tuesday's game, helping the Angels pick up a fourth consecutive victory.
Pujols hasn't lived up to his peak-year production since joining the Angels before the 2012 campaign, but over the last month-and-a-half, he's looked the part of a three-time MVP.

He has 19 homers since May 15 after hitting just five over the first six weeks of the season.
Although he finally seems to have cooled down a bit over the last few days, the 35-year-old finished June with a robust .303/.395/.737 batting line along with his 13 homers, 26 RBI and 23 runs.
Despite getting off to a slow start, he's on pace for 50 home runs, 102 RBI and 100 runs this season, giving him a shot to top his previous career-best mark of 49 homers (2006).
Pujols has done some serious climbing on the all-time home runs list so far this season, moving up from 21st place at the beginning of the year to his current spot in 16th.
Now sitting at 544 career homers, he needs only four more to catch Philadelphia Phillies legend Mike Schmidt (548) for a spot in the top 15.
