New Zealand vs. USA: Date, Time and Live Stream for U20 World Cup 2015

Host nation New Zealand will hope to kick-start its assault on the FIFA U20 World Cup by beating the United States on Tuesday. Both teams experienced mixed fortunes on the tournament's opening day.

The hosts were held to a goalless draw in Auckland by a stubborn Ukraine outfit. Meanwhile, the U.S. overcame a brief scare against Myanmar to eventually win 2-1. Goals from Maki Tall and Emerson Hyndman spared blushes after Myanmar had taken a shock lead.

Technical craft is the key to the U.S. team. It comes from a midfield led by burgeoning star Hyndman. The Fulham prospect has been lauded for big things by many prior to the tournament.

FIFA's official site detailed how the move to Fulham has accelerated the 19-year-old skipper's development:

The club, on the banks of the Thames, have a long tradition of scouting talent in North America. Carlos Bocanegra and striker Brian McBride – whose name graces the pub at Craven Cottage – had great success there. Eddie Lewis, Eddie Johnson and goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann also called Fulham home.

Exceptional vision is the hallmark of Hyndman's game, along with a tireless engine. He loves to play between the lines and make clever runs into the box.

But the real gem of the U.S. team could be Arsenal teenager Gedion Zelalem. The 18-year-old has been schooled well at a club that prides itself on emphasising creativity and attacking flair.

Zelalem has a natural knack for threading passes between defensive gaps. The only worry with Zelalem is his lack of imposing physicality. His struggles handling the rough and tumble of the game are a problem even in this age range.

Still, Zelalem is an outrageously gifted playmaker who came on 10 minutes into the second half against Myanmar. He'll hope to build on that brief exposure to the international level.

Despite the riches in midfield, manager Tab Ramos' squad sustained a blow after an injury to striker Tall. J.R. Eskilson of TopDrawerSoccer.com broke the news:

As for New Zealand, the host squad encouraged a record crowd to view their opening match, per FIFA.com. Up to 25,000 people showed up to cheer on the young Kiwis.

Sadly, the junior All Whites were frequently wasteful in front of goal. In particular, dynamic midfielder Clayton Lewis struggled to find his shooting range.

Even without Tall, the U.S. should have too much ingenuity and fluency in midfield for New Zealand to handle. If manager Tab Ramos encourages plenty of movement from Hyndman and Co., expect the hosts to be caught cold.
