Neymar Doesn't Care Who Barcelona Face in 2015 Champions League Final

Rory MarsdenMay 13, 2015

Barcelona star Neymar says he has no preference as to who his side meet in the 2015 Champions League final after the Camp Nou giants made it through their semi-final tie against Bayern Munich on Tuesday.

Serie A champions Juventus and Barca's La Liga rivals Real Madrid meet in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final on Wednesday at the Bernabeu, the Italians leading the tie 2-1.

Neymar's double on Tuesday helped Barca beat Bayern 5-3 on aggregate—despite losing the second leg 3-2—to be the first side to reach the final in Berlin, scheduled for June 6.

The 23-year-old Brazilian expressed his delight at reaching his first European final and said doesn't matter whether Barca face Juve or Real in the final, per Football Espana:

"

I have no preference, may the best team win, because we’ll be in the final and up against an opponent whoever goes through. I feel really great. It’s going to be my first Champions League final and I’m very happy about that, while I’m also happy for my teammates.

"

Neymar scored three times across the tie as Barca dismantled Bayern to ease into the last two.

Leading 3-0 from the first leg, Luis Enrique's men went 1-0 down early on on Tuesday, but Neymar's two goals before half-time effectively sealed Barca's place in the final.

Wednesday's clash in Madrid is set to be very tight, but Bleacher Report's Sam Tighe sees Real edging through to join Barcelona in Berlin, despite Juve's 2-1 first-leg win:

The Old Lady will be buoyed by the return of Paul Pogba to the squad, the Frenchman having missed the first leg through injury.

Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri has hinted that his talismanic midfielder may be fit enough to start against the reigning European champions, per La Liga expert Nicholas Rigg:

Real will be desperate to reach the final to face their La Liga rivals, as they have already all but conceded the Spanish title to Barca—the Catalans lead the division by four points with just two games remaining.

Furthermore, Los Blancos are looking to become the first side to successfully defend the European Cup in the Champions League era.

Real will need to improve on their first-leg performance if they are to overturn the deficit against a likely defensive Juve on Wednesday.

Gareth Bale had a particularly torrid time at the Juventus Stadium, per Squawka:

However, with the pedigree of their attacking players—Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo, James Rodriguez—and the home advantage, Carlo Ancelotti's side are surely the most likely to grab the first goal.

This could prove vital, because if Real go 1-0 up at the Bernabeu, Juve will then be the ones heading out of the competition and will be forced to chase the game.

It is an incredibly difficult tie to predict, but as far as Neymar is concerned, it doesn't really matter who comes out on top.
