Champions League 2015: Real Madrid vs. Juventus Live Stream, Odds and Prediction
The Champions League semi-final between Real Madrid and Juventus is fascinatingly poised after the Italian champions won 2-1 at home in the first leg.
Real produced one of their worst performances of the season in Turin, but they came away still in with a strong chance of reaching the final in Berlin.
Former Real striker Alvaro Morata had put Juventus ahead before Cristiano Ronaldo equalised. However, Ronaldo’s ex-Manchester United team-mate Carlos Tevez scored the winner to give Juve an advantage heading into the second leg at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Real Madrid vs. Juventus
If Real want to reach the final for the second year in succession, the first thing they’re going to have to do is win the match. They are 4/7 to do just that, per Odds Shark.

According to UEFA’s official website, Real have previously won five of their seven home meetings with Juventus, and what is interesting is that all of those wins have been by a single-goal margin. That will be enough to send Real through to the final, if it finishes 1-0, which is a 13/2 shot, per Oddschecker.
However, a one-goal winning margin opens the door for Juventus to go through on away goals. A 2-1 win for Real Madrid, which is 8/1, per Oddschecker, will send the tie to extra time. Real beat Juventus by that scoreline at home in the group phase last season.
Cristiano Ronaldo is the leading scorer in the Champions League semi-finals, with nine goals, per Real Madrid’s official website:
Oddschecker has him at 11/12 to score anytime in the game as he did in the first leg, while he is 10/3 to score the opening goal of the match.
Or if you fancy Marcelo to celebrate his birthday, as noted by Real Madrid’s official website, a day late, then he is 40/1 to score the first goal, per Oddschecker:
".@MarceloM12 turns 27 today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Check out here some of his best moments: http://t.co/RQTlD5QZqg pic.twitter.com/yAHmBxJW3F

With the onus on Real to win and set the tempo, full-back Dani Carvajal has warned against the dangers of being too gung-ho in the early stages.
Carvajal said, per Marca (h/t Luke Augustus of the Mail Online): “We must keep a cool head, be patient and not go crazy. We know that a game of football last 90 minutes. We have to make them pay a high price for suffering without possession.”

With that in mind, the price for it to be a draw at half-time and Real win at full-time is 15/4, per Oddschecker.
Real are slight favourites to qualify for the final and Robert Jarni, who spent a season playing for both clubs, believes Carlo Ancelotti’s side have the edge. He said, per Hrvoje Tironi of Goal.com:
"After Juventus made it 1-0, I thought they could have scored another two or three. Juve had a great opportunity to achieve an even better result-they had Madrid on the ropes but lacked the courage to knock them out. So Real Madrid still have a 55 percent chance of progressing.
"
Juventus will take heart from the fact that they have not conceded a goal in their last three away matches in the Champions League this season, per the club’s official website:
However, Real have scored at least twice in their last 52 home games, per UEFA’s official website.
Oddschecker has Morata as a 10/1 shot to repeat his trick from the first leg by scoring the opening goal as he returns to the Bernabeu following his move to Juventus last summer. Tevez, meanwhile, is an 8/1 shot to be the first goalscorer, per Oddschecker.
Real’s 2-2 draw at home to Valencia at the weekend means they are now highly unlikely to catch Barcelona in the race to win the title in La Liga. That leaves the Champions League as their best chance for more silverware this season.
The pressure is going to be on Real to force the game, but they have the experience of playing at this stage of the competition. In contrast, this is Juventus’ first Champions League semi-final since 2003, per UEFA’s official website.
Juventus’ defensive resilience will stand them in good stead, but it’s hard to imagine Real being as poor as they were a week ago and, in Ronaldo, they have a player who relishes this stage of the competition and he can see them through to another final.
Prediction: Real Madrid 3-1 Juventus
