EPL Table: Latest Week 36 Results, Scores and 2015 Premier League Standings
Manchester United's Champions League status is secure for next season barring a mathematical miracle, as Liverpool could only draw 1-1 away at champions Chelsea. Elsewhere on Sunday, Queens Park Rangers' relegation was confirmed, as they were hit for six by a rampant Manchester City team.
On Saturday, the teams battling against relegation showed they mean business in Week 36, as Leicester City continued their fine form with a 2-0 win over Southampton, Aston Villa beat West Ham United, Sunderland beat Everton and Newcastle United drew with West Bromwich Albion.
Burnley managed to beat Hull City 1-0, but following Newcastle's draw, the Clarets can no longer survive the drop. Here's the full schedule for Week 36:

Monday Recap
Arsenal dominated Swansea City on Monday in every facet except for the one that truly matters—the final score.
Despite dominating possession—68.1 percent, according to WhoScored.com—it was Bafetimbi Gomis' 85th-minute headed goal that gave Swansea a shocking 1-0 win over the Gunners. And the circumstances of the goal were rather intriguing as well, as nearly nobody in the stadium even realized the ball crossed the goal line, as David Ospina appeared to make a diving save.
Goal-line technology showed the ball clearly was a goal, however, leaving Arsenal shocked and their bid to finish second on the league table now in danger. Next Sunday's matchup against Manchester United became a whole lot more intriguing as well, with third place on the table and a guaranteed spot in the Champions League as opposed to playing in the playoff to get into the competition hanging in the balance.
Sunday Recap

Queens Park Rangers will play Championship football next season, as Manchester City ran riot in a 6-0 win over Chris Ramsey’s men at the Etihad Stadium.
Sergio Aguero scored a scintillating hat-trick for the hosts, who also found the back of the net through Aleksandar Kolarov, James Milner and David Silva. The win strengthens City’s place in second, with Manuel Pellegrini’s side now three points clear of Arsenal, having played two games more.

City were superb throughout the 90 minutes, but as noted by Oliver Kay of the Times, the performance of QPR was utterly shambolic, just as they've been for most of this season:
The pattern of this one was set early on, as Aguero surged clear of QPR’s ponderous back line, bustled his way through a pair of abject challenges and finished neatly past Robert Green within the first five minutes.
The visitors’ heads dropped and City continued pressing, as Kolarov added a second before the break with a fine free-kick.

Things were only set to get worse for the Londoners, though, who needed to win this one to preserve their slender hopes of survival. After the interval, Aguero raced away to grab his second after a dreadful piece of defending from Yun Suk-Young allowed the Argentina star a free passage toward goal.
Just 15 minutes later, he was celebrating the hat-trick, converting from the penalty spot. As noted by Squawka Football, that strike rounded off a fine game for the City man:
Milner made it five after prodding home Aguero’s sharp cutback, and Silva added some gloss to the rout with a superb goal. The Spaniard sauntered into the box after latching on to Wilfried Bony’s neat backheel, rounded Green expertly and slotted home.
In the day's later game, Chelsea and Liverpool played out an entertaining 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge.
First-half headers from John Terry and Steven Gerrard made it one apiece at half-time, and although the Reds had the better of things in the second period, they failed to make their dominance count.
Brendan Rodgers' side, who knew only a win would do to keep their slender hopes of a Champions League place alive, got off to the worst possible start as Terry rose highest to head home Cesc Fabregas’ corner.

As noted by OptaJoe, it was a strike which made the Blues skipper the most prolific goal-scorer in Premier League history:
To their credit, while Chelsea were sharper in possession initially, Liverpool clung on and eventually edged their way back into the game. After spurning a couple of half-chances, it was Gerrard who gave the Reds an equaliser they deserved, nodding home at the back post after escaping the attentions of John Obi Mikel.

Gary Lineker paid tribute to the Liverpool captain after his goal:
Liverpool began the second half much the better side, spurning a flurry of chances early on. There was a pattern developing as the Reds pressed and Jose Mourinho decided to withdraw Ruben Loftus-Cheek—making his first ever Premier League start—in favour of the indomitable Nemanja Matic.
However, that's no slant on the youngster, who was pretty impressive during his hour on the field:
Gerrard was also withdrawn with the clock ticking down and despite being baited by the Stamford Bridge faithful, actually received a decent reception as he walked off.
The visitors pushed for a winner in the latter stages, but with Mourinho's men happy to sit deep and frustrate their opponents, clear cut opportunities were scarce. Eventually the Blues saw the game out and while on any other day this would have been a decent point for Liverpool, this result effectively ends what has been a tough campaign.
Saturday recap
Marouane Fellaini gave Manchester United a late winner against Crystal Palace, scoring the 2-1 with 10 minutes left on the clock to shift all pressure back to Liverpool.
Bleacher Report UK had an explanation for Fellaini's sudden excellence this season:
Juan Mata opened the score for United, converting from the penalty spot. As shared by Squawka, the goal ended quite the dry spell for the visitors:
"Juan Mata's goal was the first Man United had scored in 306 minutes of Premier League action. About time. pic.twitter.com/9kiuTGdzzK

But the Eagles fought back in the second half and equalised through Jason Puncheon. In desperate need of a winner, Louis van Gaal ordered Fellaini to march further up the pitch, and the Belgium international eventually pushed his team ahead.
The Red Devils now hold a seven-point lead over rivals Liverpool, who face a difficult trip to Stamford Bridge on Sunday. Brendan Rodgers' side have to beat the new Premier League champions, or their bid to make qualify for next year's Champions League will be over.
Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton have been involved in a battle for the final Europa League ticket for weeks now, and it's starting to look as if neither team is particularly interested in competing in Europe next season.
Spurs suffered an embarrassing 3-0 loss at Stoke City, while Saints lost 2-0 against in-form Leicester. Adam Crafton of MailSport thinks it's clear what both sides are trying to do:
For the Foxes, the win over Southampton is their sixth in seventh matches, via former England international Gary Lineker:
Once seemingly destined to drop down to the Championship, Leicester control their own destiny after yet another excellent performance. Riyad Mahrez was the hero on Saturday, scoring both of his team's goals.
Leicester City now sit three points above Hull City with just two matches left to be played, and given the dreadful form the Tigers are in, you have to assume the Foxes could see the job through and survive the drop.

Hull lost 1-0 against Burnley on Saturday, but that result wasn't enough to save the Clarets, who are officially relegated with two matchdays left. Queens Park Rangers will join Burnley on that list if they can't beat Manchester City on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Aston Villa are close to safety after a 1-0 win over West Ham. Manchester United loanee Tom Cleverley scored the only goal of the match, and his recent scoring form led to much hilarity on social media. Lineker chimed in:
Manager Tim Sherwood was proud of the performance his side put in, via the Premier League's official Twitter account:
The battle against relegation is quickly turning into one of the most exciting the league has seen in years, and with the European spots also still up for grabs, fans can expect plenty of drama in the final weeks of the season.
