Crystal Palace vs. Manchester United

At the beginning of April, following victories against Tottenham, Manchester City and Liverpool, Manchester United were looking impressive.
Not only was a top-four finish all but guaranteed, but second place looked a viable option if they continued in the same vein of form.
Following three defeats in a row to Chelsea, Everton and West Bromwich Albion, three games in which the Red Devils have failed to score a goal, things are not looking so rosy.
The absence of Michael Carrick has been cited as a key element in United's poor form, as noted by The Sunday Times' Jonathan Northcroft:
The Englishman is by no means certain to return on Saturday, but United must find a way to win without him.
Anything other than a win at Selhurst Park and the gap to fifth-placed Liverpool could be shortened even further than its current four points, and the Red Devils face in-form Arsenal next week.
The key is Wayne Rooney. United's startling lack of creativity in the last three games has seen them given plenty of the ball but do very little with it.
Rooney can be incisive and creative but needs to be played in an advanced role where he can latch on to chances and score goals.
Palace are in similarly poor form, having lost their last three games, and should prove more vulnerable than the well-organised West Brom, Everton and Chelsea defences that United have faced most recently.
Prediction: 1-2
Chelsea vs. Liverpool

If United can beat Palace on Saturday, their Champions League spot for next season could be confirmed on Sunday if Liverpool lose away to Chelsea.
Before last weekend, the Blues would have been heavy favourites to win at Stamford Bridge, but they may just take the foot off the gas having wrapped up the title.
However, with Jose Mourinho in charge, and an unbeaten home league record this season to protect, the Blues are hardly likely to be on the beach.
Liverpool just do not look to have the firepower to really trouble a solid Chelsea defence, considering the season form of their striking department, per Bleacher Report UK:
Nor is their defence strong enough to keep out the likes of Eden Hazard, Oscar, Loic Remy, Juan Cuadrado and Cesc Fabregas.
Chelsea may look to be more expansive on Sunday than they have been recently as they have wrapped up the league. While this may give Liverpool the chance of a goal, the Reds do not look to have the quality to be the first side to win at Stamford Bridge in the league this season.
Prediction: 1-1
Newcastle United vs. West Bromwich Albion

Newcastle are in crisis. Eight defeats on the bounce have seen them drop to just two points above the relegation zone, and of those still looking to avoid the drop—Aston Villa, Hull City, Leicester City and Sunderland—the Magpies are in the worst form by some distance, per the Premier League.
Relegation is now a distinct possibility for the north-east outfit, and manager John Carver is on shaky ground in his job, although he has been assured he will stay in the role until the end of the season, per BBC Sport.
Newcastle look bereft of ideas, and they have shown very little fight or professionalism since Carver replaced Alan Pardew in the top job at St James' Park, per BT Sport's Ian Darke:
The chances of them breaching Tony Pulis' well-organised defence—a feat not achieved by Manchester United, Liverpool or Palace in the Baggies' last three games—look minimal.
Meanwhile, such is the shambles that is Newcastle's back line, having conceded three to Leicester last week, West Brom are sure to snatch at least one goal.
Furthermore, Carver will be without key defenders Mike Williamson and Daryl Janmaat after the pair were sent off against the Foxes, per ESPN FC's Ben Dinnery:
Newcastle could well be in the bottom three come Saturday evening, and only a brave man would bet on them climbing out again given their current form.
Prediction: 0-1
