Chelsea Stroll To League Title

The story of the 2014-15 Premier League race has revolved around Mourinho and his side since day one.
The Stamford Bridge club have currently spent 253 days at the top of the standings this term, according to Phil McNulty of BBC Sport, the third-longest run in the history of the competition. And Ed Chamberlin of Sky Sports highlighted that the record will soon belong to the newly crowned champions:
Crystal Palace arrived in west London knowing they were there just to make up the numbers and witness the Chelsea celebration party when the inevitable occurred.
And true to the script, the Blues chugged along in third gear, soaking up the play and scoring yet another 1-0, orchestrated by the feet of Eden Hazard once again.
The victory moves Chelsea to second in the all-time EPL winners list, as highlighted by the Premier League:

Chelsea have been the best team in England this year, but the second half of their campaign has seen them become a more functional unit rather than a free-flowing attacking machine.
The form of Hazard has fluctuated at times, but the little Belgian has saved his best performances for the end of the season, just when Mourinho needed him most.
And there were no cartwheels from the manager at the final whistle, with his face awash with relief rather than unequivocal joy. This was also evident in his post-match interviews, where he looked tired and worn, leaving the pitchside celebrations to his team, per Sky Sports:
Chelsea have put the brakes on in recent weeks, but this is the Mourinho way—focused on winning the trophy rather than style and panache. But they are undoubtedly worthy winners, as their fellow contenders have coughed and spluttered through the season.
Manchester United and Liverpool To Battle To The End

After Manchester United's recent displays, beating Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur with ease and giving Chelsea a lesson in passing football at Stamford Bridge, it seems preposterous that Louis van Gaal's side have allowed their guaranteed fourth-spot finish to slip through their fingers.
The Red Devils have now lost three consecutive games for the first time this year, per WhoScored.com, and have failed to find the net in all of the fixtures.
United lost 1-0 to West Brom at Old Trafford on Saturday evening, while Liverpool nicked a 2-1 at home to QPR to narrow the gap between the clubs to four points.

United's free-flowing game has been decimated by the recent injury to Michael Carrick, with LvG plumping for the bizarre combination of Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney in central midfield against the Baggies in the second half.
Liverpool's general form has not been great, but with nine points left to play for, it is not unimaginable they will pip Van Gaal's team if Carrick does not return for the next game at Crystal Palace.
There is also the Steven Gerrard factor to consider here. The Reds captain is on the final lap of his Anfield career, and what better motivation is needed than to finish fourth ahead of the club's most bitter rival?

Gerrard grabbed the late winner against QPR, and he will be in a buoyant mood to leave his team with a wonderful parting gift.
The last few weeks have proved United are not completely ready to be title contenders yet, with their football ecosystem very much in the balance at present.
When Van Gaal has his best 11 players on the pitch, in their favoured roles, United are a match for anyone. However, over the course of a campaign, there must be strong flexibility in the squad, and LvG needs to install this in the summer.
Brendan Rodgers will be desperate to grab this lifeline offered by the Old Trafford club, but they must go to the home of the new champions and win in order to achieve their objective. This game is up next for Liverpool, and anything but a victory will leave United in the clear to pull away.
