Monday Recap

Although the league trophy had already been secured by Chelsea, Monday's match between Arsenal and Hull City had rather big ramifications.
The Gunners came to play with a flurry on the attack, scoring three goals inside the first half to defeat their overwhelmed opponent 3-1 at KC Stadium. Alexis Sanchez found the back of the net twice for Arsenal in the 28th minute and in added time just before the midway intermission.
WhoScored.com highlighted how brilliant Sanchez was on Monday against the Tigers:
Young midfielder Aaron Ramsey added swift insurance to Sanchez's first goal in the 33rd minute, which turned out to be the winner. Stephen Quinn (56') got on the board for Hull City, but it wasn't nearly enough.
Arsenal dominated possession, holding the ball at a 68 percent rate. Quinn's successful shot was the only one to get on goal, as this was very close to a clean sheet for the victors.
Fanatix notes how well Arsenal have traveled in league play:
Gunners manager Arsene Wenger applauded his side for their effort, and noted how he didn't take the road trip lightly:
Champions League stakes are still at play for Arsenal, so they did well to increase their lead on pace in the Premier League table over Manchester United, and are now tied second with Manchester City on 70 points. Next up for Wenger's club is a tougher test in Swansea City.
Relegation is a reality Hull City will do well to avoid after failing to pick up a point on their home pitch. The Tigers are just one point ahead of Sunderland outside of the bottom three, but they do get EPL cellar dweller Burnley in their next match.
Sunday Recap

The race for the title is over, and Chelsea have been crowned EPL kings for 2014-15. The Blues beat Crystal Palace in the London derby, with Hazard scoring the only goal in a 1-0 win.
Chelsea set up in a tight formation, desperate to not give the Eagles a foothold in the match, but Alan Pardew's team looked dangerous in their rare drives forward.
But Mourinho's team always looked in control in a quiet opening half and took the lead on the stroke of half-time.
Hazard burst into the penalty area and was smothered by the Palace defence, but replays showed the Belgian made the most of the contact, diving to the floor to win the foul.

However, Hazard failed to convert the penalty, as Julian Speroni saved his poor shot, but the attacker made sure of the rebound, heading the ball past the scrambling goalkeeper.
The second half became a formality for the Blues, with Palace having neither the inclination nor the quality to score an equaliser.
And with the referee's whistle for the end of the match, jubilant scenes broke out across the stadium as the team and fans celebrated their success.
Journalist and Arsenal fan Piers Morgan congratulated Mourinho on his title victory, emphasising the point of Chelsea's winning mentality:

In Sunday's other match, Manchester City continued their ambition to finish in second place behind Chelsea, defeating Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 at White Hart Lane.
Sergio Aguero scored the 22nd goal of his EPL campaign to give Manuel Pellegrini the win as City broke the 70-point barrier for 2014-15.
Despite a poor defensive display by City, it was the combination of David Silva and Kun that gave them the only goal in the 29th minute, with the Argentinian finishing with aplomb.
ESPN FC's Michael Cox lauded Aguero's strike:

It was a poor day in front of goal for Harry Kane, who has seen his midseason form evaporate in recent fixtures.
The England starlet was unable to beat a shaky Sky Blues back line, and Spurs failed to grab an equaliser.
The loss leaves Tottenham seven points behind fourth-placed Manchester United with just three matches to play.
Saturday Recap
Manchester United dominated possession and had the better chances against West Brom but still found themselves on the wrong side of a 1-0 scoreline when the final whistle blew. Kevin Palmer of the Sunday World couldn't believe what he was seeing:
A free-kick took a wicked deflection off Jonas Olsson midway through the second half to provide the match's only goal, but United really should have done better with their plethora of shots and chances.
Robin van Persie even managed to miss a penalty minutes after the Baggies took the lead, but in fairness to the Dutch striker, Boaz Myhill produced a fine save to stop his rather tame effort.
Manager Louis van Gaal bore the brunt of the criticism after the match for his odd tactics, which included shifting attackers like Wayne Rooney to midfield and Maroune Fellaini to an attacking role, per former England international Gary Lineker:
The gamble didn't even come close to paying off, and Manchester Evening News' Rob Dawson couldn't help but note his philosophy made it easy for the visitors to defend their lead:
Meanwhile, Liverpool managed to beat a similarly feisty opponent at Anfield, scoring late to grab the three points against QPR. Steven Gerrard missed a penalty but redeemed himself with a powerful header just before extra time to close the gap with United to just four points.
As shared by the Liverpool Echo's Kristian Walsh, Brendan Rodgers first wanted to take Gerrard off after the penalty incident before changing his mind:
United still lead the Reds by four points but have been in dreadful form of late. With three matches left to be played, one more loss could throw the race for the final Champions League ticket into further uncertainty.
And if that wasn't enough, the battle breaking out at the bottom of the table looks like it will come down to the final matchday as well, with Leicester City, Aston Villa and Sunderland all winning on Saturday, per Bleacher Report UK:
The Foxes ran all over Newcastle United, while Christian Benteke scored twice to give Villa a 3-2 win over Everton. Not to be outdone, Sunderland shocked slumping Southampton thanks to two penalty goals from Jordi Gomez.
The Saints can forget about the Champions League and could see Tottenham Hotspur put more distance between the two with a win over Manchester City on Sunday.
Southampton still lead Swansea City and could qualify for the Europa League from seventh place―providing Aston Villa lose the FA Cup final to Arsenal, which would see that Europa League ticket handed back to the Premier League.
