Premier League Week 32 Fixtures: EPL TV Schedule, Live Stream and Predictions

Tom SunderlandApr 10, 2015

A Manchester derby this Sunday highlights the fixture schedule heading into Week 32 of the Premier League season, with just a single point and a single place separating United and City coming to Old Trafford.

Louis van Gaal's hosts are hopeful of extending their winning streak to four matches on the run and can open a four-point cushion over Manuel Pellegrini's misfiring Citizens in the process.

Meanwhile, Chelsea head to Queens Park Rangers in a derby of their own and will seek to re-establish some breathing room of their own at the summit, with Arsenal continuing to put pressure on Jose Mourinho's Blues.

Rampant Red Devils Rise to Reclaim Manchester Throne

Not for quite some time will Manchester United have felt as confident as they most likely do right now heading into a derby clash against Manchester City, with the pair poised to make fireworks on Sunday.

The Red Devils, third, are hoping to heap further woe on their bitter rivals after City slumped to a 2-1 defeat at Crystal Palace on Monday evening, placing their top-four hopes in some jeopardy.

United, on the other hand, claimed a 3-1 win over Aston Villa last weekend and will seek to defend an unbeaten home streak in league competition stretching back to the beginning of January.

Ahead of Sunday's tie, United captain Wayne Rooney spoke of pride being the biggest motivator in these matchups, per the Mirror's David McDonnell:

"

I think it's a very important game for Manchester United and Manchester City. It's important for the fans and, for me, it's a massive game of pride. When you play for Manchester United, you want to win these derby games.

We want to give United fans something to smile about when they go to work on Monday morning. We want them to be the ones to be able to give out the banter to Manchester City fans at work.

"

It's been almost two-and-a-half years since United last claimed a Premier League victory over their local foes and more than four years since they last beat City at home.

However, Samuel Luckhurst of the Manchester Evening News suggests this could be the weekend it all turns around for the Red Devils, with Angel Di Maria's surge back to form a key component in that regard:

United may remain an uncertain quantity at the back and Sergio Aguero is sure to give David de Gea a tough examination, but City are far from impenetrable themselves, having kept just three clean sheets in their last 10 games.

Van Gaal will strive to see his side impose a dominant streak in the middle of the pitch, and the likes of Ander Herrera and Daley Blind will be seen as the in-form weapons capable of leading the hosts to three points.

Liverpool Rediscover Attacking Edge Against Magpies

Whatever slim hopes Liverpool held for a top-four finish may well be discounted now, but Brendan Rodgers' side will endeavour all the same to produce their finest against Newcastle United on Monday.

The Reds haven't scored more than a single goal in any of their last five outings, a streak stretching back to early March, despite seeing Daniel Sturridge make his way back into their lineup.

The Merseysiders can hope to see that barren spell come to an end against a Newcastle team that's lost its last four fixtures on the trot and hasn't won an away game in league competition since January.

As former Liverpool player Don Hutchison points out, Liverpool have all the motivation they need to win, too, as Manchester City and the top four remain within reach:

Reaching Europe is still very much attainable for Rodgers' men, but a triumph next Monday could well mean the Champions League race is back on, too.

With the Magpies having leaked nine goals in their last three away trips, we're banking on Liverpool to solve a woe of their own in Week 32 and get their top-four pledge back on track.
