Harry Kane Wants to Play for England in 2015 UEFA Under-21 Championships
Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane may have just made his debut for England's senior side, but according to the Daily Telegraph's Henry Winter, he plans on playing for the U21 team at the European Championship in June amid fears of possible burnout:
As reported by Winter, the youngster has already featured in an incredible 45 matches this season, and while he won't be selected for any upcoming friendlies with England's national team, he plans on participating in a full schedule of pre-season tours before the European Championships begin:

"Harry Kane has told Roy Hodgson he will represent England in the European Under-21 Championships in June. Kane’s club, Tottenham Hotspur, are concerned about their striker overplaying but Hodgson dismissed all “burnout” talk.

“Anyone who wants to be a top-class international footballer and really believes he can help his country get to these tournaments can’t then come and talk about burn-out,’’ said Hodgson. “I’m not a great lover of the burn-out argument. If you want to be an international player then you’ve got to accept football tournaments take place in the summer at the end of the season.”

Raheem Sterling and Ross Barkley are reportedly among a group of U21 stars who won't be participating in the tournament, something their respective clubs, Liverpool and Everton, will undoubtedly approve of.

Kane's rise to prominence has been something to behold, as he started the 2014-15 campaign as a substitute for Spurs and seems set to end it as perhaps the league's top scorer. He scored 78 seconds into his England debut, causing even more madness than before.
When he went 15 minutes without scoring against Italy, former England international Gary Lineker even tweeted this:
It's good to see the striker elect to go back down to the U21 side and chase silverware instead of getting a big head, and the experience of playing in a European Championship can only aid his development, even if it comes at the youth level.
Spurs fans would likely rather lock him away in a padded chamber and not release him before the start of the 2015-16 campaign, but they should be glad knowing their prized young star will continue to develop and gain valuable experience while most of his peers are sipping margaritas on the beach.
