Quarter-Final Roundup

Of course, Real Madrid ascended to last year's throne after beating Atletico 4-1 in the final. Carlo Ancelotti's men have struggled to dominate the fixture since, though, highlighted by Nicholas Rigg of AS:
Atletico dished out a 4-0 La Liga whooping in February and recently beat Real 4-2 across two legs in the Copa del Rey. Prior to the draw, B/R UK's Sam Tighe didn't rank either Madrid side among the favourites for the competition:
Rigg suggested a heated 180 minutes awaits:
For those who are afraid Barcelona will play at the same time, Real confirmed the dates are yet to be decided:
Barca's quest to once again topple PSG will also grab the interest of many. These sides secured home victories against each other in Group F, with PSG winning 3-2 at home and Barca posting a 3-1 response at the Camp Nou.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic will miss the first leg after his red card in the round-of-16 tie against Chelsea, as reported by Reuters (h/t The Guardian), but he will be ready to face his old club in Catalonia. Former Blaugrana midfielder Thiago Motta will also look to get one over his former colleagues.
Jonathan Johnson of ESPN FC suggests Zlatan's absence won't be a problem:
PSG will have Marco Verratti missing during the first tie after his accumulation of bookings, perhaps the biggest loss of them all against a side like Barca, who love to dictate through midfield.

Porto will need to continue underlining their tags as dark horses for the tournament when facing 2013 champions Bayern Munich.
Pep Guardiola's men whooped Shakhtar Donetsk 7-0 on aggregate in the last round and will be more than confident of progressing through to the last four. Porto must secure a positive home result to stand any chance, as once Bayern run out at the Allianz Arena in the second leg, goals will be expected to flow.
Monaco surprised most with their toppling of Arsenal, but they are now destined to face a Juventus side who truly announced themselves to the competition with the recent 3-0 win over Borussia Dortmund.

Massimiliano Allegri's men have improved since struggling through the group stage and will be desperate to keep themselves in contention for the prize. It's been 21 years since Juve last won the competition, an absolute age for a club of this magnitude.
Friday's draw produced a mouth-watering set of fixtures that are likely to be crammed with drama and perhaps even an upset or two.
