Liverpool's clash with United could have decisive implications on the race for the top four. In fact, every single major race in the league should be impacted by these fixtures.
Chelsea's trip to Hull City is certainly trickier than it appears. One more slip from Jose Mourinho's suddenly stuttering squad, and more than one team will suddenly see the title loom a little closer.
Meanwhile, defeat at home to Everton may all but condemn Queens Part Rangers to life in the Championship next season.
Top Four Already Set?
The title race could've been put to bed if Chelsea had beaten Southampton at home, but instead the plucky Saints earned a 1-1 draw.
That leaves the Blues six points ahead of Manchester City. The reigning champions appeared to have blown it after losing 1-0 at Burnley. Now the Citizens will hope Chelsea don't make the most of a game in hand.
But City should also be looking over their shoulder at Arsenal and Manchester United. The Gunners are just one point behind after thrashing West Ham United 3-0 at home. Man United won by the same scoreline at home to Tottenham Hotspur.
The Red Devils will be happy to have Wayne Rooney, scorer of their third goal, back in form in his best position, per Opta Joe:
With Rooney in this sort of form, United will still be a force in a four-team tussle to secure fourth, third or even second place. Meanwhile, Spurs might find securing a top-four finish beyond them.
In fact, football writer Andy Brassell believes the current standings will reflect the top four come the end of the season. He told B/R's Ryan Bailey that City's porous defence and lack of cohesion will be the current champions' undoing:
Relegation Landscape Changing
Picking those spots may be a little easier, but it's the relegation scrap that has suddenly become very interesting. Villa and Burnley really turned up the heat with hugely impressive performances in Week 29.
The former finally got the performances strikers Gabriel Agbonlahor and Christian Benteke are capable of, as the pair helped themselves to a brace apiece during the 4-0 thumping of Sunderland.
It's the Mackems who now find themselves in trouble. Gus Poyet's team is just one point above the drop zone after Burnley's win over City.
Sunderland may be getting nervous, but one side that's eased their pressure considerably is Everton. The Toffees thrashed a dismal Newcastle United 3-0 at Goodison Park. As he often is, towering Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku was the decisive figure, scoring his side's second and tearing through Newcastle in a dominant display.
The goal has restored some life to Lukaku's form in the Premier League, per Squawka:
Everton are inching away from trouble, while Chelsea seem to be stumbling toward the title. Based on how this season is unfolding, don't be surprised if there are a few more twists of fate following Week 30's games.
