Fight for Top Four

Manchester United and Tottenham meet at Old Trafford in a game that will have a massive impact on the Champions League hopes of each side. The Red Devils will be looking for a response after a disappointing loss to Arsenal in the FA Cup, while Spurs can really thrust themselves into contention should they pick up a win here.
The Londoners will certainly fancy their chances, too. Not only because of the inconsistent form of their opponents but due to the immaculate goalscoring of their star forward Harry Kane. As noted by the Premier League Twitter account, on the road he flourishes, too:
In another boost to Tottenham’s chances, the Red Devils will also be without British record signing Angel Di Maria following his red card against the Gunners. With a clutch of United players also struggling for form in recent weeks, it’s going to be intriguing to see how Louis van Gaal sets up his side for this crunch clash.

Elsewhere, Arsenal will welcome London rivals West Ham United to the Emirates as they look to build on that win at Old Trafford. But Arsene Wenger will have to be wary of the Hammers’ eminent threat from set pieces as it’s something his team have failed to cope with throughout the campaign so far:
In-form Liverpool are also in the hunt for a Champions League spot and will look to continue their fine run against Swansea City. Southampton arguably face the toughest task of the weekend, though, as they look to become the first team to notch a league win at Stamford Bridge this season.
Relegation Scrap

QPR can heap the pressure on their rivals looking to beat the drop when they face Crystal Palace in the opening game of the weekend. The Londoners’ away record leaves much to be desired, but against a Palace side that are marooned in mid-table, they will surely fancy their chances of picking up a positive result.
Rio Ferdinand thinks they were unlucky to lose against Spurs in their last match:
Leicester City are currently seven points from safety and will be well aware they need to start picking up wins; they probably won’t get many better chances than against a toiling Hull City team—who themselves remain involved in a relegation scrap—in front of their own supporters.

Burnley face a much more difficult contest as they welcome reigning champions Manchester City to Turf Moor.
While Sean Dyche’s men have drawn plaudits for some of their performances so far this season, it’s absolutely imperative they begin accruing the points to complement these displays. You suspect they’ll be hopeful of springing a surprise against an inconsistent City outfit.
Arguably the most important match at the bottom of the table will see a rejuvenated Aston Villa side take on Sunderland at the Stadium of Light. Neither team are out of trouble yet, but Tim Sherwood has made a major impression since taking the reigns at the former, per Bleacher Report UK:
On Sunday, Everton will be hoping to alleviate growing concerns they’ll be dragged into a relegation fight. The Toffees have been rather abject as of late, but a home clash against mid-table Newcastle United represents a perfect opportunity to get three points on the board and move clear of the bottom three.
