Daily Fantasy Basketball 2015: Best NBA DFS DraftKings Lineup for March 5
Everyone likes playing daily fantasy basketball when the NBA slate is loaded with games and lineup options. We prefer fewer games, less variables to consider, tighter budgets and lower point plateaus to reach in order to cash at DraftKings.
Thursday features just a pair of games. It is right up our alley, and we present the best options by value per position.

PG Russell Westbrook, Oklahoma City Thunder ($11,300)
Is there a price high enough for players to not take this red-hot phenom right now? Nope. Westbrook is playing on a back-to-back, but he scored 49 points with 16 rebounds, 10 assists and three steals for 95 DraftKings points. His price is $200 less than it was a night ago. Keep riding the triple-double monster.
- Rajon Rondo, Dallas Mavericks ($5,700)
- Aaron Brooks, Chicago Bulls ($5,400)
SG Monta Ellis, Dallas Mavericks ($6,800)
We are going with Ellis over the other thin options because he isn't coming off a back-to-back. We are hoping the fresh legs keep him in the 30- to 40-fantasy-point range. Ellis is a bit more productive on the road and should at least be good for his season averages against the Portland Trail Blazers.
- Wesley Matthews, Portland Trail Blazers ($5,600)
- Dion Waiters, Oklahoma City Thunder ($4,100)
SF Tony Snell, Chicago Bulls ($4,000)
Snell isn't a game-changer, but he is a value for the price because of the minutes he gets right now for the injury-ravaged Bulls. His low prices help you load up some stars at other positions, and his minutes should get him a consistent 20-plus fantasy points on the board. It also helps that the Thunder are just 23rd at DraftKings against small forwards.
- Richard Jefferson, Dallas Mavericks ($3,300)
- Nicolas Batum, Portland Trail Blazers ($5,500)
PF Pau Gasol, Chicago Bulls ($9,400)
Gasol is another star pick Thursday night who isn't playing on a back-to-back. Also, he draws the 23rd-ranked team at DraftKings against power forwards. The Bulls need Gasol on both ends of the floor, so expect his minutes, points and rebounds to all stay high. Sounds like a winner to us.
- Nikola Mirotic, Chicago Bulls ($5,700)
- Amar'e Stoudemire, Dallas Mavericks ($3,600)
- LaMarcus Aldridge, Portland Trail Blazers ($9,100)
C Joakim Noah, Chicago Bulls ($7,400)
He has been one of the more consistent centers since the All-Star break, never dipping below 30 DraftKings points. With so few viable options available on a two-game slate, you might want to buy some reliability with Noah, especially amid the Bulls' injury woes. The Bulls are rested and getting the Thunder on a back-to-back, so the timing looks right at least.
- Nick Collison, Oklahoma City Thunder ($3,400)
- Robin Lopez, Portland Trail Blazers ($3,800)
