Ezequiel Lavezzi Comments on PSG, Napoli, Italy and Potential Summer Transfer
Paris Saint-Germain winger Ezequiel Lavezzi dropped a strong hint he may be on his way back to Italy after Tuesday's 1-1 draw against Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League, entertaining the idea of moving back to Napoli to pair up with compatriot Gonzalo Higuain.
The Argentina international told Sky (h/t Football Italia) he misses Italy before declaring he'll see what the future holds for him once the current season is over:
"I miss Italy.
Me paired with [Gonzalo] Higuain? Why not? If I went back the first choice would be Napoli, we’ll have to see if I want to.
I’m at PSG now, at the end of the season we’ll see what happens.

The 29-year-old established himself as one of the top wingers in the world during his time with Napoli before securing a move to the French capital in the summer of 2012. He failed to truly live up to the expectations at PSG, however, and isn't a regular starter in Laurent Blanc's squad.
Per WhoScored.com, he's made 10 Ligue 1 starts so far this season, although he did play in the Champions League fixture against Chelsea. OptaJohan's Nikos Overheul cracked a joke at the French manager's expense when he saw the Argentinian on the pitch:
"Don't think Laurent Blanc is using Ezequiel Lavezzi the right way. He'd perform much better as an unused sub.

Lavezzi and team-mate Edinson Cavani recently found themselves in Blanc's doghouse after the winter break when they did not return to the club in time, per BBC Sport. As a result, transfer rumours started to emerge, with Metro's Jamie McLaughlin suggesting Liverpool were close to making a deal.
Napoli always appeared to be the place he enjoyed playing his football the most, however, and with Argentina team-mate Higuain leading the Partenopei attack, it's easy to see why Lavezzi would prefer a return to the peninsula.
Whether Napoli have the financial capabilities to complete a transfer is another matter. Lavezzi won't be a free agent at the end of the season, and Les Parisiens likely won't be willing to budge too much on a potential fee one year after receiving sanctions for Financial Fair Play violations, via CNN.
