Paris Saint-Germain v Chelsea

Two of the continent's new superpowers clash in Paris, as the oil-rich clubs of PSG and Chelsea face each other.
The French team have had a testing time, compared to the west London side, after what has been a tricky campaign for the reigning Ligue 1 champions.
Lyon have rolled back the years and temporarily reclaimed their place back at the top of French football, per Ligue1.com, seeing the Rouge-et-Bleu slip to third.
This is, of course, not the expected performance of a side that has had hundreds of millions of euros pumped into it, including the £50 million capture of Chelsea's David Luiz this summer, making him the most expensive defender in history, as reported by Colin Harvey of the Daily Star.

And now the French team has serious fitness concerns, with Andy Brassell of WhoScored.com highlighting PSG could be without six members of their squad.
Yohan Cabaye, Serge Aurier, Lucas Moura, Marquinhos, Blaise Matuidi and Javier Pastore are all likely absentees for Laurent Blanc, with the former Manchester United player under increasing pressure in his role as coach.
The impressive Lucas will be replaced by Ezequiel Lavezzi, who has four goals and two assists in Ligue 1 and Europe to his name, compared to the Brazilian's seven and four, per Brassell.
And Bleacher Report's Jonathan Johnson believes Blanc will stick with his tried and tested 4-3-3, as he did recently at home to Caen; a match in which PSG surrendered a two-goal lead in the final moments:

Chelsea have been one of the outstanding teams in Europe this season, dominating the Premier League since the early weeks of the season.
Mourinho will feel PSG are there for the taking, and that his balanced team can come away from Paris with a positive result.
But despite their recent woes, PSG are certainly excellent opposition at the Parc des Princes, as highlighted by Sky Sports:
Shakhtar Donestk v Bayern Munich

Pep Guardiola's Bayern Munich will lead the cavalry charge in the Ukraine after his side showed impressive domestic form, following their shock 4-1 defeat to Wolfsburg in January.
The Bavarians smashed Hamburg 8-0 at the weekend, proving they are ready to reignite their European campaign.
Taras Stepanenko misses out for the home side through suspension, per WhoScored, but the team have a strong and fit squad ready for their illustrious visitors.
WhoScored also said Xabi Alonso and Rafinha are doubts for Bayern, with the Spaniard missing the Hamburg game with hamstring trouble.

Guardiola will want to make an impression in the Champions League after his previous successes with Barcelona.
Bayern are by far the superior German club by some way now with Borussia Dortmund's fall from grace, and they will be confident of dismantling Shakhtar over two legs.
However, it is questionable whether this incarnation of FCB can make it all the way to the final. They still have many of the team who have previously gone all the way in this competition, but the ageing legs of some of the squad could become a factor as the tournament progresses.
