Harry Kane Will Be Called Up to England Squad for Euro Qualifiers
Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane will be rewarded for his excellent run of form with his first international call-up for England for the upcoming Euro 2016 qualifiers, according to Roy Hodgson.
The Three Lions' manager announced the news in a press conference on Thursday, and the team's official Twitter shared some of his comments:

As reported by the FA's Jamie Bradbury, Hodgson has been wildly impressed with the young striker of late:
"Harry's flying at the moment.
I’m delighted for us and I’m delighted for the lad as well because he looks like the kind of player who’s had to work hard for his successes - it’s not something that has come overnight.
If you can be a star of a top team like Tottenham at 21, then you’re doing pretty well.
"
ESPN provided more comments from Hodgson, who spoke about Kane's place on the team:
"The 21-year-old has scored an incredible five goals in his last three matches, per WhoScored.com, including a masterful performance against Arsenal, where his brace made the difference as Spurs completed a fantastic comeback. When asked if Kane is ready to play for England, Hodgson said: "Yes. Is he worth a place in the squad now? Of course he is. We bought a lot of young players in during my time, we had Saido Berahino in the last squad. He certainly deserves a place in the squad as much as Saido did.
Is he worthy of a place like Wayne Rooney, Welbeck and Sturridge? That's something he'll have to prove. But unless I give him a chance in the squad he'll never get a chance to prove that anyway.
I like to think I do show a certain degree of loyalty to players who have been playing for a while and who I know I can trust. But I also like to think that I'm prepared to give someone a chance when he's really showing with his current form that he's worthy of a place with us."
As shared by Squawka Football, his scoring form in 2015 has truly been special:
Fans and pundits have been vocally demanding a call-up for weeks, and on Thursday, Hodgson obliged. Via The Associated Press' Rob Harris, he too doesn't doubt the youngster is more than worthy of the honour:
England are undefeated in their qualifying group and hold a healthy six-point lead over closest contenders Slovenia, Switzerland and Lithuania. The latter side will visit Wembley Stadium in March.
Of the four strikers called up for the match against Scotland, Danny Welbeck, Saido Berahino and Rickie Lambert are struggling for form, with Wayne Rooney the only certitude for Hodgson.
Coupled with Kane's blistering form, calling the young star up now is just about a no-brainer.
