Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are the big winners of Week 24 of the 2014-15 Premier League season, taking advantage of other teams dropping vital points on Saturday to boost the title-or top-four credentials.
The Blues beat Aston Villa 2-1 and saw defending champions Manchester City struggle to a 1-1 draw against Hull City; Spurs came from behind to beat north London rivals and top-four contenders Arsenal 2-1.
Southampton left it very late to steal a win over Queens Park Rangers, while Crystal Palace beat Leicester City 1-0 thanks to a goal from Joseph Ledley. Swansea City and Sunderland shared the spoils, as did Liverpool and Everton in the Merseyside derby. The full schedule for Week 24:

Sunday Recap

Daley Blind was the hero for Manchester United, scoring another last-minute goal to steal a point at Upton Park as the Red Devils and West Ham United battled to a 1-1 draw.
The hosts were the better team for much of the afternoon and deservedly took the lead through Cheikhou Kouyate, who produced a fantastic piece of skill before blasting home after 49 minutes.
United's play to that point had been subpar, to say the least, via Squawka Football:
The Hammers seemed destined to hold on to their one-goal lead. The Red Devils produced next to nothing in the second half until Blind volleyed the ball into the net deep into stoppage time.
Bleacher Report's Sam Tighe couldn't contain himself:
Plenty of top clubs will struggle to get any points at Upton Park, but United's horrific play for much of the afternoon is a tremendous cause for concern heading into the final part of the season, with Champions League rivals Arsenal, Southampton and Tottenham all looking in decent form of late.
Earlier in the day, West Bromwich Albion battled back from a two-goal deficit to draw Burnley 2-2, giving both teams a minor boost in the battle against relegation.

The hosts took the lead through Ashley Barnes, and Danny Ings doubled their lead after 32 minutes, but Chris Brut pulled one back before half-time. Brown Ideye pulled the Baggies back on level terms, and neither team was able to find a winner during a frantic finish.
Manager Tony Pulis was brutally honest in his post-match comments on the subject of West Brom's lack of pure quality in the squad, and ITV's Daniel Hewitt thought the veteran was on point with his statement:
Pulis also spoke about Saido Berahino, who made the news for all the wrong reasons in the past week, via BBC Sport:
Peter Crouch scored late to salvage a draw for Stoke City, playing Newcastle United to a 1-1 draw in an altogether drab affair. The hosts had taken the lead through Jack Colback, who produced a moment of magic to break the deadlock.
Former England international Gary Lineker was impressed by the 25-year-old but not so much by what the rest of the players were showing:
The midfielder seemed to have won the match for Newcastle, but Crouch had other ideas, evening things up with a gorgeous, looping header in the final minutes of the match.
Not Match of the Day couldn't help himself:
Stoke and Newcastle are sitting pretty in the belly of the standings, and a draw between both sides perfectly sums up their current campaigns. Neither team truly has to worry about relegation, but judging by the poor standard of Sunday's match, a European ticket is nothing but a pipe dream at this point.
Saturday Recap

Harry Kane struck twice to help his club overcome an early deficit and beat Arsenal 2-1 on Saturday, etching his name in Tottenham folklore.
The Press Association's Simon Peach shared this Vine from the trip back home:
Mesut Ozil had given the visitors the lead after just 11 minutes and Tottenham hardly looked threatening during the first half, but Spurs turned things around in the second, pushing their rivals back and deservedly scoring twice to grab the win.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger praised the young Tottenham striker, but per the Daily Telegraph's Henry Winters, he blamed the defending of his own squad for both goals:
Spurs won't care one bit, however—the win sees them leap over their rivals in the standings, sitting pretty in fifth, tied with Manchester United. Arsenal are just one point back, as the race for the Champions League tickets looks like it will be a tight one.
Aston Villa finally broke their scoring drought against the Blues but still lost, as Eden Hazard and Branislav Ivanovic gave Chelsea a 2-1 win in Birmingham. Coupled with Manchester City's 1-1 draw against Hull City, Jose Mourinho's men now have a seven-point lead at the top of the standings.
The Citizens were lucky to grab a point against the Tigers, needing a last-minute free-kick from James Milner to finally get the ball past Allan McGregor. Manchester Evening News' Stuart Brennan perhaps best described the team's first half:
Southampton also needed a late goal to get past Queens Park Rangers and hold off Tottenham, and the Saints certainly have goal-keeper Fraser Forster to thank for the win.
The 26-year-old produced highlight-reel saves to deny Joey Barton and Charlie Austin before Sadio Mane struck in the dying moments of the match, continuing a fine streak, per OptaJoe:
Liverpool and Everton produced one of the least-memorable Merseyside derbies of the past decade, a drab 0-0 draw that doesn't really help either side in the race for Europe.
Leicester City's loss against Crystal Palace means Hull momentarily climb out of the relegation zone, although Burnley could leap back over Tigers with a win or draw against West Bromwich Albion on Sunday.
Sunday's other fixtures are Newcastle United against Stoke City and West Ham United against Manchester United.
