The primary news circulates around Manchester City who have added new January transfer window signing Wilfried Bony to their team.

The 26-year-old striker, who recently joined the Sky Blues from Swansea, per the club's official website, will replace Stevan Jovetic—who drops drops out of contention.

Manuel Pellegrini insisted on Friday, per Sky Sports' Fraser Dainton, that Jovetic's future remains at City:

Real Madrid have also made a notable change to their squad, drafting in teenage sensation Martin Odegaard. Also included is Lucas Silva who signed from Brazilian club Cruzeiro for £10.5 million in the window, per Ian McCourt of The Guardian.

Odegaard is considered to be one of Norway's hottest ever prospects, and the 16-year-old may now light up Europe's biggest club competition.

The player was recently praised by his former coach David Neilsen before his birthday, saying, per Sid Lowe of The Guardian:

“At times you need a superstar and at 15, he’s the nearest thing we have.”

The 21-year-old Silva has impressed for his former club, having made 26 appearances this term in the Brazilian league, per WhoScored.com.

The young Galacticos could become superstars at their new club and both have an opportunity to gain experience in the one competition Madrid loves the most.

Last year's La Decima success has given the Spanish club renewed vigour in the competition, and both Odegaard and Silva will now be able to mix their ability with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale.
