2015 College Football Recruits: Predictions for Most Buzzworthy Prospects
College football steps back into the spotlight as the final Super Bowl hangovers fade for the 2015 national signing day.
Wednesday is one of the most important days of the year for programs around the nation. Contenders will look to make headway in their respective conferences, while rebuilding programs will seek the proverbial missing pieces to ensure the future.
Regardless, the top uncommitted prospects will reshape the collegiate landscape in a daylong spectacle.
Some names will make bigger splashes than others. The critical ones to set aside time for will both impact multiple major programs in a big way with their decision—while making it in style.
CeCe Jefferson, SDE
CeCe Jefferson is the type of recruit who alters the future of even the Nick Sabans of the world.
A 5-star defensive end who hails from Baker County Senior High School in Glen Saint Mary, Florida, Jefferson's suitor list is the stuff found in video games—Auburn, Alabama, Florida, Florida State and more are all in the running.
Speaking of Saban, Jefferson is such a hot commodity that he pulled a new trick out of his hat, per BamaOnline:
Believe the hype. Jefferson comes in at 6'2" and 275 pounds. He's strong enough to play right away and make an impact on most top-tier defenses, should they choose to use him in that manner.
For Jefferson, there has to be some allure to playing right away, not to mention staying close to home.
With the Gators, he will help head coach Jim McElwain in the turnaround and follow in the footsteps of many successful Florida defensive ends who took their talents to the NFL.
Prediction: Jefferson signs with Florida.
Martez Ivey, OT

Only Martez Ivey knows where he will play ball at the next level.
He's keeping it that way until national signing day, too, per ESPN's Derek Tyson:
"I'll be going on a cruise on Friday until Monday. I don't plan on doing much different than what I normally do over the next week. I'll probably just think about it, but I kind of have my mind made up already. I used to go back and forth with it sometimes but I don't know I made up my mind a while ago.
"
A 5-star recruit and the No. 2 overall player in 247Sports' composite rankings, the 6'5.5", 275-pound tackle who calls Apopka, Florida, home will pick between the Gators and Auburn Tigers.
Will Muschamp's influence is present over Ivey's decision, too.
Muschamp is now on staff at Auburn, but based on his interview with Tyson, Ivey does not figure to allow the coach's departure to override his decision.
There is potentially immediate playing time with the Gators and a chance to help headline a rebuild of a dormant SEC power.
Prediction: Ivey commits to Florida.
Iman Marshall, CB
As the video above shows, Iman Marshall is also one of the hottest undecided commodities in the land.
A 5-star recruit and the top corner in the 2015 class, Marshall has the proverbial pick of the litter. Not all teams are created equal in the race for the 6'1", 190-pound corner, though, as Michigan needs him much more than say, USC, for example.
Bad news, Wolverines faithful—the Long Beach Poly High School product figures to stay home and join the Trojans.
The Trojans are the favorite and have been for quite a long time. As important as a late push from Jim Harbaugh is, the Trojans and Steve Sarkisian are closer to contention and Marshall's house.
There, he will get to lead the charge as the Trojans turn the corner and begin a new era of contention free from the past recruiting shackles.
Prediction: Marshall commits to USC.
Terry Beckner Jr., DT

Defensive tackles who can generate an unorthodox rush up the middle and flush quarterbacks to the left or right are all of the rage at each level of football these days.
Hence Terry Beckner Jr. of East St. Louis High School being such a hot item on Wednesday.
The 5-star defensive tackle is ready to choose between Missouri, Ohio State, Auburn and Florida State, although if he leans in a certain direction, it is quite difficult to discern.
As ESPN's Craig Haubert breaks down, Beckner is a man among boys in the defensive trenches:
"Throughout the process, the player that keeps coming to mind in regards to Beckner is DL Marcell Dareus. Much like the former standout Alabama defender, Beckner brings a combination of size, power and athleticism that can allow him to be a versatile and at times dominating player in the trenches at the college level.
"
Expect a bit of a dark horse on Wednesday.
The Ohio State Buckeyes just won a national title, and things already look great for next season. There is one exception—tackle Michael Bennett is on his way out.
Beckner will find it difficult to ignore the chance at immediate playing time and a title right out of the gates.
Prediction: Beckner commits to Ohio State.
