Daily Fantasy Basketball 2015: Best NBA DFS DraftKings Lineup for Jan. 29
Having just four games on the slate might seem daunting to set your daily lineups, because there is less of a talent pool to pick through. It might be one big star short, too, because the New York Knicks' Carmelo Anthony might get the night off amid a back-to-back, as The Wall Street Journal's Chris Herring tweeted.
As Kyrie Irving and LaMarcus Aldridge proved Wednesday night, having a star out of the lineup at the last minute can impact daily fantasy lineups. LeBron James sat out, and those two took over.

With just four games on tap, the points and dollars might not be greater but your chances of winning can be. With less angles and variables, this daily fantasy information for DraftKings' games can help you increase your odds on a night of tighter points—with or without the big-name veteran suiting up to play.
PG Derrick Rose, Chicago Bulls ($7,600)
We decided to go with a star here, because the weakened Los Angeles Lakers are 30th against fantasy point guards at DraftKings. The good news is Derrick Rose has had his minutes restrictions lifted of late. He scored 30 points with seven boards Tuesday, hitting the game-winner to boot.
The number underlying that performance was the 43 minutes he played. It was the first time he played that many minutes since April 15, 2012, according to K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune.
We anticipate another big performance against a walk-through opponent here. Rose will drop his turnover count and should reach the 40-plus fantasy plateau for you.
- Jerryd Bayless, Milwaukee Bucks ($4,000)
- Jordan Clarkson, Los Angeles Lakers ($3,800)
SG Victor Oladipo, Orlando Magic ($7,000)
There is a noteworthy consistency to this young player that we like here, especially with so few games on the slate. Odds Shark has the Las Vegas total for the Magic's game against the Milwaukee Bucks over 206.5-plus, with the Magic as a home 'dog on a line trending against them since opening. We like the Magic to snap their six-game losing streak behind the steady Victor Oladipo.
- Wayne Ellington, Los Angeles Lakers ($4,600)
- Arron Afflalo, Denver Nuggets ($6,100)
- Rodney Stuckey, Indiana Pacers ($5,100)
SF Khris Middleton, Milwaukee Bucks ($5,200)
Khris Middleton helped us cash a few days ago, so we are going back to the well here. He is scoring decent points and minutes in recent games, and there is too much value relative to the price. As we said, the Bucks are facing a reeling Magic team, so Middleton should outperform his price like he has been of late. It helps the Magic are just 21st against small forwards at DraftKings.
- Solomon Hill, Indiana Pacers ($3,700)
- Jared Dudley, Milwaukee Bucks ($3,000)
PF Kenneth Faried, Denver Nuggets ($6,800)
Kenneth Faried has been a bit hot and cold, but you can ride him against a Memphis Grizzlies team that is 25th against power forwards. Faried should be good for a double-double in this one, cracking the 30-point barrier in back-to-back games.
- Ed Davis, Los Angeles Lakers ($4,200)
- Taj Gibson, Chicago Bulls ($5,600)
C Nikola Vucevic, Orlando Magic ($8,600)
Can you tell we are riding the Magic Thursday night? Nikola Vucevic has been a scoring and rebounding machine. He is the top play of the night, especially if 'Melo sits out the back-to-back for the Knicks. Vucevic is one of the game's budding young guns at the center position.
- Joakim Noah, Chicago Bulls ($6,300)
- Jordan Hill, Los Angeles Lakers ($5,100)
