Monday Update

Neither side was able to get on the scoresheet at Goodison Park on Monday as Tony Pulis' strong West Brom defence frustrated the Toffees, the match finishing 0-0 with few chances of note.
The major talking point from the match was Kevin Mirallas' miss from the penalty spot in the 44th minute, the awarding of which came after Joleon Lescott had handled the ball in the area.
The Belgian pulled his spot-kick onto the post, spurning a golden opportunity to put Everton ahead.
Most intriguingly, Mirallas took the responsibility on over regular Toffees penalty taker Leighton Baines, per ESPN's Paul Carr, and he was replaced by Bryan Oviedo at half-time:
The hosts dominated a pair of similarly barren halves, but the Baggies defended well, barely allowing their opponents to carve out half chances.
West Brom's top scorer, Saido Berahino, had very little to do leading their attack, but it was clear from how Pulis set his team up that they were, first and foremost, looking not to lose, and they succeeded with flying colours.
The draw sees Everton sitting in 12th position, 17 points back from Manchester United in the fourth Champions League spot, something of a regression from an impressive term in 2013-14.
West Brom remain unbeaten in Pulis' first three games in charge and now sit in 14th, three points above the relegation zone.
Sunday Update

Olivier Giroud bagged his fourth goal in his last five league matches, per WhoScored.com, to add to Santi Cazorla's penalty as Arsenal downed Manchester City 2-0 at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
After Chelsea's victory on Saturday, the Sky Blues really needed to win to keep the pressure on the Jose Mourinho's men at the top of the table, but the Gunners proved to good.
Arsene Wenger's men were very controlled in the first half, giving City few opportunities, and Cazorla bagged the opener from the spot after Vincent Kompany had fouled Nacho Monreal.
Manuel Pellegrini's men started the second half well and could have got back into the game, but Arsenal regained their composure and Giroud headed home a Cazorla free kick to make it 2-0 in the 66th minute, Wenger's men maintaining their lead until the final whistle and picking up a fully deserved three points, per the Sunday Times' Jonathan Northcroft:
Andy Carroll’s opener for West Ham against Hull City—his fifth league goal of the season per WhoScored—sparked the Hammers’ dominance at Upton Park in a game which the hosts eventually won 3-0.
Despite Hull having the better of the first half when Carroll slotted home a rebound from Enner Valencia’s shot four minutes after the break, the Irons took control.
The Tigers’ defence fell apart and their defeat was confirmed when Morgan Amalfitano and Stewart Downing both scored in a three-minute period with 20 minutes remaining.
Amalfitano’s was a delicate dinked finish while the Englishman was put through by a splendid Alex Song pass, per The Independent’s Jack Pitt-Brooke:
Hull’s injury problems worsened with James Chester departing just before half time with a dislocated shoulder and Steve Bruce’s men remain in the bottom three and need to turn their form around after three consecutive losses.
Saturday Update

Costa and Oscar both scored twice in the first half and Andre Schurrle added a late goal to help Chelsea to a 5-0 win over Swansea City in a dominant performance.
WhoScored.com crowned the Spain international as their Man of the Match for his fantastic performance:
The Blues were deadly efficient and dominated the battle in midfield, taking full advantage of every mistake the Welsh hosts made.
Swansea could do little right in the first half, and manager Garry Monk conceded his team played horrible, per the South Wales Evening Post's Gareth Vincent:
Chelsea now lead Manchester City by five points in the standings, as the Citizens prepare to host Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday. The two teams have combined for 20 goals in their last five meetings, so star striker Aguero will have plenty of opportunities to gain on Costa.
Christian Eriksen is quickly developing a reputation as the most clutch player in the entire league, scoring another late winner as Tottenham Hotspur overcame Sunderland 2-1.
According to KICKTV, that makes five match-winners for the Dane this season:
Marouane Fellaini and James Wilson scored to give Manchester United a 2-0 win at Queens Park Rangers, as Radamel Falcao once again failed to impress. The young Wilson scored his first goal of the season, and his raw athleticism provides the Red Devils with an added dimension Falcao simply can't provide right now.
The Sport Bible's Liam believes it was yet another missed opportunity for the Colombia international:
"A lot of you are quick to jump on my back when I criticise Falcao. He should've scored at least one today, he missed his opportunity.

Fabio Borini bagged his first goal of the season in Liverpool's 2-0 win over Aston Villa, prompting this tweet from Paddy Power:
Sunday will see two of the league's most gifted attackers go head-to-head, as Aguero and Alexis Sanchez will do battle at the Etihad. City and Arsenal need to win to stay in the middle of the chase for the top European spots, so expect plenty of fireworks when things kick off at 5 p.m. GMT.
