Match of the Season for Gunners, City?

There might still be several months between Sunday and the conclusion of the 2014-15 campaign, but for City and Arsenal, Matchday 22 might turn out to be the single most important matchday of the season.
City have dropped results in two of their last three matches and can't afford to lose any ground on Chelsea—the Gunners' challenge to crack the top four is turning out to be a lot harder than expected, with Southampton and Tottenham displaying some excellent form in recent weeks.
Both clubs face some question marks regarding their team selections on Sunday. David Ospina is expected to start his second consecutive match after doing little wrong against Stoke City in Week 21, as shared by former England international Gary Lineker:
The Citizens will be without Yaya Toure and new signing Wilfried Bony, who are both on international duty at AFCON.
Neither team can afford to take any chances on resting star players, however. Sergio Aguero's form may be a question mark, but the Argentina international should make Manuel Pellegrini's starting XI out of pure necessity.
The Citizens' midfield looked susceptible to pressure without Toure against Everton—expect Arsenal to direct their attention to the central areas and attempt to seize control early. Samir Nasri and David Silva have been in deadly form; keeping the ball away from the duo will be key for the Gunners.
Manuel Pellegrini believes the Spain international in particular has been splendid lately and deserves far more praise, as reported by Manchester Evening News' Stuart Brennan:
"Much depends on the ambition of every player - each one has a different ceiling.
My impression is that David’s quality has not been valued because of the teams he has played at, perhaps, because he has not been at Madrid or Barcelona. He can decide a match in two or three moves.
"
For Arsenal, all eyes will once again be on Alexis Sanchez. The Chile international leads the team in scoring by a wide margin and will put his pace to good use against the Citizens' strong back four which has struggled dealing with mobile attackers in recent weeks.
Trap Match for United?

On paper, a trip to Loftus Road to play QPR doesn't seem like much of a challenge. Rangers sit second-to-last in the standings and just set a new Premier League record for consecutive away losses, via Match of the Day:
"Away" is very much the keyword there. At Loftus Road, they have lost just two matches all season and rank in the top half of the standings with 19 points out of 11 matches, via WhoScored.com.
The Red Devils are winless in their last three and looked awful against Southampton in Week 21. The Saints are a far better team than QPR, but you can be sure the hosts will be gunning for a result on Saturday.
Charlie Austin has been in devastating form for the past two months, scoring almost at will, via Squawka Football:
United are entering a relatively easy part of the schedule, and it would be far too easy to look past Rangers and view Saturday's match as a walk in the park. Louis van Gaal will have to keep his troops motivated or the Red Devils could be in for a shock at Loftus Road.
