Jordan Claim Ahmad Hayel Left in 'Semi-Coma' by Asian Cup Doping Tests
Jordan striker Ahmad Hayel was reportedly left in a "semi-coma and with hypothermia" after undergoing anti-doping tests at the 2015 Asian Cup.
This quote comes via Jordanian FA general secretary Fadi Zureikat, per BBC Sport. Hayel reportedly drank "several litres of water" to help him produce a urine sample after the nation's 1-0 loss to Iraq on Monday.
Zureikat suggests the 31-year-old wasn't given vitamins or minerals to aid his task and was unconscious when he headed back to the hotel in a private vehicle.

It is unclear whether the result of Hayel's test became official: "The doctor had to cancel the doping test ... I think it was a bad procedure," noted a team spokesman, reported by Reuters (h/t The Guardian).
Hayel is expected to miss Friday's must-win fixture against Palestine after feeling "dizzy" and finding himself in a "bad situation," per the nation's aforementioned representative.
Jordan boss Ray Wilkins labelled the incident "dangerous," as noted by BBC Sport. His plans to qualify for the knockout stages could now be severely impacted if reports surrounding Hayel's absence prove to be true. The nation will be eliminated from the Australian-hosted tournament if they suffer defeat in their second match.
Official confirmation of the situation is expected to follow on Wednesday.
