Sunday Recap

Arsenal cruised to a 3-0 win over Stoke City, while Southampton shocked Manchester United 1-0 at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Laurent Koscielny opened the score early and Alexis Sanchez added a brace to see off the Potters. The Gunners jump over Tottenham Hotspur in the standings following the result, continuing their push for a top-four finish.
The Gunners took control of the match early, determined not to have a repeat of last month's debacle that resulted in a 3-2 loss. Sanchez once again starred, drawing praise from team-mate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, per the club's official Twitter feed:
We're quickly starting to run out of adjectives to shower the Chilean with. Sanchez has become the heart and soul of this Arsenal squad, supplanting Cesc Fabregas as the best Premier League transfer of the summer.
Sunday's match nearly played out perfectly for the Gunners, but Mathieu Debuchy's shoulder injury could leave the club with a sour aftertaste. As shared by ITV Sport, the France international dislocated his shoulder, and he will likely be out for more than a month:
Southampton continued their excellent form with a 1-0 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford, with Dusan Tadic scoring the only goal of the match.
Morgan Schneiderlin was the big hero with another fantastic performance in the centre of the park, while the hosts failed to kick into gear, partly due to a miserable showing from Angel di Maria. The summer acquisition was deployed in a role similar to Arjen Robben at Bayern Munich, and it quickly became clear it didn't suit him.
Squawka Football shared his final numbers:
The Red Devils threw bodies forward in the final stages in a desperate attempt to salvage a draw, and as shared by Bleacher Report's Nick Akerman, the fact Marouane Fellaini was forced to play as a target man didn't add up:
Southampton leap over United in the standings with this result, severely denting the Red Devils' title hopes.
With two mediocre results in two fixtures, Louis van Gaal's men appear to have played themselves out of title contention.
Saturday Recap

Oscar and Diego Costa were on point during Chelsea's 2-0 win over Newcastle United, avenging the loss that ended their unbeaten streak at St. James' park earlier this season.
The Blues struggled early but opened the score just before half-time, and they controlled proceedings in the second half. Assistant Steve Holland told reporters Jose Mourinho wasn't entirely satisfied with the performance, per the club's official Twitter feed:
According to Infostrada Sports, the Blues became the first club in 10 years to score more than two goals in each of their first 10 home fixtures in the Premier League:
Chelsea were far from perfect on Saturday, but Manchester City's draw at Goodison Park means the Blues will still b the big winners of the weekend. Everton fought back after Fernandinho opened the score to shock the defending champions, snapping a four-match losing streak in the process.
As shared by KICK TV, Chelsea will undoubtedly be thankful:
Stevan Jovetic missed a handful of good chances in the first half and made way for Sergio Aguero as City chased a goal, and fans must be happy the Argentina international is healthy again and ready to contribute.
Captain Vincent Kompany is also close to making a full return, a welcome sight after Eliaquim Mangala struggled tremendously against Romelu Lukaku.
Lazar Markovic scored early and nearly doubled his tally with an athletic volley that would have been a strong candidate for goal of the season to help Liverpool beat Sunderland 1-0.
As shared by LFC Fans Corner, the Reds are now unbeaten in seven straight matches:
The Black Cats came out flat and hardly troubled Liverpool, whose attempt to conserve a clean sheet became even easier after Liam Bridcutt was sent off early in the second half.
Charlie Austin continued his incredible scoring form on Saturday, but it wasn't enough to help Queens Park Rangers grab points away from Loftus Road as the squad lost 2-1 at Burnley.
As shared by Squawka Football, the loss handed QPR the kind of record most teams desperately wish to avoid:
Crystal Palace handed Tottenham Hotspur a shock 2-1 defeat at Selhurst Park, denying Spurs the chance to jump over Southampton and into the Champions League spots in the standings.
Leciester City grabbed a much-needed 1-0 win over Aston Villa, gaining three valuable points as they close the gap with the rest of the teams battling relegation. West Ham United could only manage a 1-1 draw at Swansea City, while West Bromwich Albion beat Hull City 1-0.
Arsenal will host Stoke City on Sunday, before Manchester United and Southampton meet in Week 21's marquee fixture.
