B/R Experts Predict Top Matches in World Football for Weekend Jan. 10-11
La Liga showcases the biggest game of the weekend, with Barcelona playing host to Atletico Madrid on Sunday.
Atletico won the title at Camp Nou on the final day of last season and go into the match on the back of five wins from their last six league matches.
Barcelona, meanwhile, have endured a tumultuous week following the defeat at Real Sociedad and will be aiming to bounce back with victory.
Serie A provides two intriguing matches this weekend, with AC Milan aiming to restore their pride at Torino on Saturday after losing at home to Sassuolo in midweek, while league leaders Juventus travel to Napoli 24 hours later.
In the Premier League, champions Manchester City make the short trip to Everton, while Liverpool open the weekend programme with their match at Sunderland earlier in the day.

Everton vs. Manchester City
1 of 6
Alex Livie: Everton 0-0 Manchester City
The Toffees are in free fall, and if they are to avoid being dragged into the relegation scrap, they need to find some steel. A point from the visit of the champions is the perfect place to start.
Karl Matchett: Everton 0-2 Manchester City
First goalscorer: David Silva
Manchester City are looking in ominously strong form once more, getting wins in any way necessary. They'll be too strong for Everton.
Sam Tighe: Everton 0-2 Manchester City
First goalscorer: David Silva
Despite not having any strikers fit, City are looking good and getting results. Everton, on the other hand, well...
Will Tidey: Everton 1-1 Manchester City
First goalscorer: James Milner
Everton have lost four in a row in the Premier League, but they didn't suddenly become an awful side. I expect a reaction in 2015, and it starts against City.
Michael Cummings: Everton 0-2 Manchester City
First goalscorer: David Silva
City will have too much for Everton in this one, as David Silva continues his fine run of form.
Jerrad Peters: Everton 1-1 Manchester City
First goalscorer: Romelu Lukaku
Matches between these sides are typically closely fought affairs, and given a lack of healthy strikers and Yaya Toure's departure for the Africa Cup of Nations, it could be that Manchester City are vulnerable enough for a draw at Goodison Park this weekend.
Alex Dimond: Everton 0-1 Manchester City
First goalscorer: Samir Nasri
Everton are in a difficult period at the moment, and it is difficult to see them scoring against a settled City defence. The visitors should have enough in the tank to win this one relatively comfortably.
Sunderland vs. Liverpool
2 of 6
Alex Livie: Sunderland 1-1 Liverpool
First goalscorer: Steven Fletcher
Even though it's winter, we can't guarantee there won't be a beach ball or two flying around. Sunderland head into the game on the back of an FA Cup win and can claim a point in their relegation fight.
Karl Matchett: Sunderland 2-2 Liverpool
First goalscorer: Connor Wickham
Sunderland are really struggling to get many wins, but they don't lose many either. Liverpool can't seem to pick up their performances away from home.
Sam Tighe: Sunderland 0-1 Liverpool
First goalscorer: Philippe Coutinho
Liverpool continue improving by winning a very tough game at the Stadium of Light.
Will Tidey: Sunderland 0-3 Liverpool
First goalscorer: Mario Balotelli
Why not? Sunderland are rubbish at home of late, and Mario Balotelli will surely get a start sooner rather than later. Won't he?
Michael Cummings: Sunderland 2-2 Liverpool
First goalscorer: Raheem Sterling
The Steven Gerrard farewell tour begins with a disappointing draw at Sunderland. Sorry, Stevie G.
Jerrad Peters: Sunderland 0-0 Liverpool
Steven Gerrard has scored Liverpool's last four goals, and the Reds hardly looked convincing at AFC Wimbledon in the FA Cup. On the other side of the ball, you're never really sure where Sunderland's offense is going to come from.
Alex Dimond: Sunderland 1-1 Liverpool
First goalscorer: Steven Fletcher
The league's draw specialists could notch up another stalemate in this one, with Liverpool perhaps neither good enough defensively or dangerous enough going forward to put the Black Cats to bed.
Torino vs. AC Milan
3 of 6
Alex Livie: Torino 1-2 AC Milan
First goalscorer: Jeremy Menez
Milan began 2015 in disappointing fashion with a defeat at the hands of Sassuolo, but they can bounce back with Jeremy Menez leading the charge.
Karl Matchett: Torino 1-1 AC Milan
First goalscorer: Alessio Cerci
Alessio Cerci will be the background and storyline to this game after his move to Milan. For that reason only, I'll pick him to make an impact.
Sam Tighe: Torino 2-1 AC Milan
First goalscorer: Alessio Cerci
Milan fans' pain will go on a little longer, and while Cerci scores on his full debut, Torino pull it back for the victory.
Will Tidey: Torino 0-2 AC Milan
First goalscorer: Stephan El Shaarawy
Milan to win this one fairly easily. Stephan El Shaarawy is back on his game.
Michael Cummings: Torino 1-1 AC Milan
First goalscorer: Jeremy Menez
Milan will still be licking their wounds following the defeat at home to Sassuolo, and Torino could be in position to take advantage.
Jerrad Peters: Torino 0-2 AC Milan
First goalscorer: Jeremy Menez
Torino and AC Milan have drawn their last two head-to-head encounters, but the Rossoneri should be able to pick up the three points in this one. The arrival of Alessio Cerci at Milan (he's on loan from Atletico Madrid) provides some subtext, as the attacker played two seasons at Torino.
Alex Dimond: Torino 1-1 AC Milan
First goalscorer: Stephan El Shaarawy
It was a case of "new year, same problems" as AC Milan slumped to a home defeat to Sassuolo on Monday, a game that showed the team's flaws might take a while to rectify. A draw in Turin might not be such a bad result.
Barcelona vs. Atletico Madrid
4 of 6
Alex Livie: Barcelona 2-1 Atletico Madrid
First goalscorer: Luis Suarez
Barca are in turmoil at present, and the visit of Atletico is hardly welcome, but they have so much class that they can still get the job done against Diego Simeone's men.
Karl Matchett: Barcelona 1-1 Atletico Madrid
First goalscorer: Lionel Messi
Atleti are going to give everything to avoid defeat here, and they've got enough about them to manage it. Set pieces at either end to be key.
Sam Tighe: Barcelona 0-1 Atletico Madrid
First goalscorer: Mario Mandzukic
The final nail in Luis Enrique's coffin? Atletico to haunt Camp Nou again.
Will Tidey: Barcelona 1-1 Atletico Madrid
First goalscorer: Fernando Torres
Tight game, with El Nino marking his homecoming to Atleti with a goal at Camp Nou.
Michael Cummings: Barcelona 1-1 Atletico Madrid
First goalscorer: Lionel Messi
There's too much drama surrounding Lionel Messi, Luis Enrique and Barcelona. I fancy Atletico to claim a result on the road.
Jerrad Peters: Barcelona 1-3 Atletico Madrid
First goalscorer: Antoine Griezmann
Barcelona are in administrative turmoil, and the chaos at board level will almost certainly affect their performances on the pitch. Atletico Madrid are coming off an absolutely massive win over local rivals Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey.
Alex Dimond: Barcelona 1-2 Atletico Madrid
First goalscorer: Lionel Messi
This could be a thrilling game. Barcelona—and Messi—will be determined to make a point after the events of the past week, while Atletico will be full of confidence after a rotated side beat Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey. An away win could well be on the cards.
Napoli vs. Juventus
5 of 6
Alex Livie: Napoli 1-2 Juventus
First goalscorer: Carlos Tevez
Juventus have won just one of their past six games in all competitions, but they can get back on track with a win in Naples.
Karl Matchett: Napoli 1-2 Juventus
First goalscorer: Carlos Tevez
Juventus should continue their dominance in Serie A. A positive result away from home here will widen the gap between themselves and third place.
Sam Tighe: Napoli 1-1 Juventus
First goalscorer: Marek Hamsik
This match has massive implications for Roma, and after Juventus slipped up midweek, they will drop two more points here. The capital thanks you, Rafa!
Will Tidey: Napoli 0-0 Juventus
This will be a fiercely fought scoreless draw. There's not much else for me to say.
Michael Cummings: Napoli 1-1 Juventus
First goalscorer: Paul Pogba
Juve have developed a bad habit of sitting on leads lately, and it's cost them at times. Expect something similar here.
Jerrad Peters: Napoli 1-1 Juventus
First goalscorer: Gonzalo Higuain
Napoli have a decent record against Juventus at the San Paolo and looked impressive against Cesena during the week. The Bianconeri, meanwhile, threw away two points at home to Inter Milan.
Alex Dimond: Napoli 1-2 Juventus
First goalscorer: Carlos Tevez
After losing to Rafa Benitez's side in the Italian Super Cup in December, Juventus could be extra motivated to gain revenge. Gonzalo Higuain might not be able to bail the home side out this time around.
