FIFA Club World Cup 2014 Quarter-Finals: Fixtures, Live Stream, Schedule & More
Real Madrid will be the massive favourites to be crowned champions of the football world when they headline the FIFA Club World Cup in Morocco.
The European champions will vie with the likes of Cruz Azul, Western Sydney Wanderers, San Lorenzo, ES Setif and Auckland as they look to win their third major trophy of the calendar year. And having notched 20 wins in a row at the time of writing, it’s difficult to see any of the sides in attendance halting Carlo Ancelotti’s juggernaut of a team.

Nonetheless, this is a competition in which European competitors have occasionally run into problems against the bespoke stylistic mantras of teams from various corners of the globe. We'll get a look at a host of these teams in the quarter-final stages of this competition, which should be wholly intriguing.
Here’s all the information you need on where to catch the matches and a closer look at some of the sides involved.
| Saturday, Dec. 13 | 4 p.m. GMT/11 a.m. ET | ES Setif vs. Auckland City |
| Saturday, Dec. 13 | 7:30 p.m. GMT/2:30 p.m. ET | Cruz Azul vs. Western Sydney Wanderers |
Matches will be streamed in the United States via Fox Sports Go
This is the second season in succession that the tournament has been held in Morocco, and last year we were witness to a wholly unexpected run. As the champions of the host nation, Raja Casablanca were eligible to play in the competition and staggeringly, they made it all the way to the final before being knocked out by Bayern Munich.

You suspect their run will give confidence to a host of the less illustrious sides in this competition as they look to plot their way toward a famous triumph, and after winning through in the qualification round, there's a massive opportunity for Auckland City to make a name for themselves.
They won a penalty shootout against Moroccan side Moghreb Tetouan after an arduous 120 minutes of goalless football to make it into the quarter-final draw, upsetting a boisterous home crowd in the process. Can the New Zealand outfit progress any further? They certainly have the tournament experience, as noted here by Infostrada Sports:
The New Zealanders will go up against Algerian side ES Setif, who will be looking to overcome a busy domestic schedule and put together a stellar run here. Manager Kheireddine Madoui has assembled a vibrant and cohesive young team, and with the pressure off them in the quarter-finals, the African champions are a team that have the quality to surprise a few.
The manager thinks his team have a fair chance of making a deep run in Morocco given the performances put in by underdogs in years past, per FIFA.com:
"We’re going to play without any pressure or inferiority complex, and with great determination. Our aim is the semi-final, and why not the final? I honestly hope we can get there, just like TP Mazembe and Raja Casablanca. It’s a legitimate ambition.
"
The winner of that one will face Copa Libertadores champions San Lorenzo, who many feel are the most likely team in the draw to pose any kind of challenge to the might of Real Madrid.

Western Sydney Wanderers are also going to be in attendance, we think. Their players have recently been involved in a dispute over pay, but that all seems to be resolved. We should see the Australian side take their place in the quarter-finals, where they will face CONCACAF Champions League winners Cruz Azul.

The Mexican club will be making their first-ever appearance in the competition, but at this juncture they are a shadow of the team who triumphed in the CONCACAF final back in April; they finished their most recent domestic campaign in 13th position. But perhaps the glitz of the Club World Cup will help them rediscover their best form.
There's a major incentive for these two teams in this quarter-final too, as the winner will tackle Real Madrid in a glamourous semi-final tie. Going up against the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema is potentially a once in a lifetime occasion for these players, so expect their quarter-final to be played at a ferocious tempo.
