Groups and Qualification Permutations

Group A

1Atletico Madrid54011431112
2Juventus53027439
3Olympiakos5203611-56
4Malmo5104211-93

Qualified: Atletico Madrid.

To be decided: Atletico will be named group winners as long as they don't lose by more than two goals against Juventus. The Turin-based side will go through as runners-up with a draw or if Olympiakos fail to beat Malmo. Should the Greeks emerge victorious and Juve lose, the latter will drop into the Europa League.

Despite losing four of their first five matches, Malmo can secure third with a victory, per UEFA.com.

Group B

1Real Madrid55001221015
2Basel520367-16
3Liverpool511348-44
4Ludogorets5113510-54

Qualified: Real Madrid (group winners).

To be decided: Basel simply need a draw with Liverpool to move into the last 16. Anfield will be rocking in the knowledge the Premier League side will advance with a victory. Brendan Rodgers' men will finish at least third if Ludogorets don't gain a higher total of points on the night.

The Bulgarians can qualify for the Europa League if they win against Los Blancos or if they grab a point and Liverpool lose.

Group C

1Bayer Leverkusen53027439
2Monaco52212118
3Zenit52124407
4Benfica511326-44

Qualified: Bayer Leverkusen.

To be decided: Leverkusen will win the group with three points away at Benfica. The Bundesliga side can also gain this achievement if they draw and Monaco fail to beat Zenit.

Should Leverkusen lose and Monaco secure a point, it's the French side who will advance as winners. Monaco need to add more points than Roger Schmidt's team to take the plaudits while Zenit can still progress with a win.

Eliminated: Benfica.

Group D

1Borussia Dortmund54011331012
2Arsenal5311117410
3Anderlecht512279-25
4Galatasaray5014315-121

Qualified: Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal.

To be decided: Victory over Anderlecht will see Dortmund win the group. Arsenal can sneak ahead if the Germans lose while a draw for BVB and win by six clear goals will see the Gunners topple Jurgen Klopp's men on goal difference. Anderlecht are confirmed for the Europa League no matter what.

Eliminated: Galatasaray.

Group E

1Bayern Munich5401134912
2Roma5122812-45
3CSKA Moscow5122610-45
4Manchester City512278-15

Qualified: Bayern Munich (group winners).

To be decided: This is arguably the most exciting group left, with all three teams below Bayern able to qualify. Roma will advance with any victory over Manchester City. If the two teams draw and CSKA Moscow nick a point from Bayern, the Serie A side will also progress. If CSKA lose, Roma would need a scoreless draw against City.

CSKA will finish second if they beat Bayern and Roma fail to overcome City.

Manuel Pellegrini's side will go through if they win and CSKA do not. A score-draw matched with a CSKA loss would also be enough for the Etihad outfit. City will be out with defeat.

2Barcelona5401124812
3Ajax5023410-62
4APOEL501418-71

Qualified: Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona.

To be decided: Victory for Barca or PSG in their match will see the group winners crowned. Ajax need only a draw against APOEL to confirm their place in the Europa League while the Cypriot side can finish third with a win.

2Sporting Lisbon521211937
3Schalke5122814-65
4Maribor5032412-83

Qualified: Chelsea (group winners).

To be decided: Sporting Lisbon will follow Chelsea into the next round if they draw with Jose Mourinho's Blues. Schalke need a win and Lisbon loss to go through in second while Maribor will usurp their upcoming opponents in third with their first success of the competition.

3Athletic Bilbao511336-24
4BATE Borisov5104222-203

Pellegrini is perhaps the manager most under pressure heading into the final set of fixtures. City continue to come up short in Europe and will need to beat Roma without Sergio Aguero, who led them to victory with a terrific hat-trick against Bayern.

"The only thing we can do is win," said Pellegrini, reported by Paul Wilson of The Guardian. It's a motto that is more prominent now than ever, as with just 90 minutes' worth of group-stage action left, 11 teams still possess the chance to put together a lucrative cup run.
