Newcastle vs. Chelsea

Chelsea got back to winning ways midweek as they thumped Tottenham 3-0 at Stamford Bridge, having been held to a 0-0 draw at Sunderland last weekend.
Newcastle, on the other hand, have only picked up one point in their last two matches against Burnley and West Ham after winning five straight league matches during October and November.
The unbeaten Blues are clearly favourites for Saturday's early kick-off, but the Magpies have lost only once in the league at St James' Park this term—to Manchester City—and have beaten Chelsea in the same fixture in both of the last two seasons.

Mourinho will welcome back Diego Costa after his midweek suspension, but Nemanja Matic will be banned for the trip to the north-east having picked up his fifth booking of the season against Spurs.
The absence of the Serbian defensive midfielder could prove key on Saturday. Matic's excellence has been a vital part of Chelsea's success so far this season, and they struggle when he is not in the side, per Sky Sports News HQ:
With Matic missing, Newcastle will have greater opportunities against a more vulnerable Chelsea defence, but they must be clinical, as Chelsea's attacking unit of Costa, Eden Hazard, Willian and Oscar are sure to create plenty of their own chances.
Prediction: 1-2
Southampton vs. Manchester United

Manchester United are the form side in the Premier League having won four on the bounce and could leapfrog Southampton in third if they pick up all three points on Monday at St. Mary's.
The Saints have had a terrific start to the season but have not won in three matches, losing to Manchester City and Arsenal in their last two outings.
Ronald Koeman's side still have the best defensive record in the league having conceded just 10 goals all season and only four at home.

Their staunch back line will be the key to getting a result on Monday against United as the Red Devils boast significant attacking talent in the likes of Robin van Persie, Juan Mata and a likely returning, in-form Wayne Rooney, per David McDonnell in the Mirror.
However, the continued absence of Morgan Schneiderlin could again be crucial, his recent injury having proved a huge loss for Saints, per NBC's Arlo White:
With United in winning form and gaining momentum, Louis van Gaal's men could well be set for another victory against Southampton.
Prediction: 1-2
Aston Villa vs. Leicester

Leicester really have to win against Aston Villa on Sunday as, with West Ham and Manchester City to come before Christmas, a draw or loss to Paul Lambert's men could see them condemned to bottom of the table on Dec. 25.
The Foxes are currently propping up the rest of the division courtesy of a shocking run of nine matches in which they have lost seven and drawn two.
Since beating Manchester United 5-3 in late September, they have been on a downward spiral, barely able to find the back of the net on a consistent basis.
Meanwhile, they are set to face a Villa side finally back on the up after claiming their first win in 10 against Crystal Palace last time out.
With home advantage and buoyed by their recent win, Villa should be able to pick up a second consecutive victory on Sunday.
Leicester could really do with striker Leonardo Ulloa finding his scoring touch once more, but with the Argentine having not bagged a goal in nine matches, his confidence must be severely lacking.
Prediction: 2-1
