Wednesday Recap

Arsenal needed another last-minute strike from Alexis Sanchez to beat Southampton, with the Chile international finally breaking the deadlock after 89 minutes of exciting football.
Sanchez tapped home from close range to give Fraser Forster no chance, after the 26-year-old had spent the entire match producing one fine stop after the other. WhoScored had the goalkeeper as their Man of the Match, despite him being on the losing end:
BT Sport's Jake Humphrey wasn't overly satisfied with the Gunners' performance, but when you win your last two matches, the matter in which it happened doesn't matter all that much:
Southampton's struggles against the top teams in the Premier League continue, and with Manchester United next on the schedule, the Saints could realistically be out of the top five once Matchday 15 is over.
League-leaders Chelsea easily disposed of Tottenham Hotspur, scoring twice in the span of three minutes in the first half and ultimately beating Spurs 3-0.
Eden Hazard and Didier Drogba combined beautifully for the opening goal, before the Ivorian veteran added the second just minutes later. Loic Remy made it three in the second half, highlighting the Blues' remarkable depth, via the Daily Telegraph's Henry Winter:
Unsurprisingly, manager Jose Mourinho was more than happy with his team's performance, per the Premier League's official Twitter feed:
Sergio Aguero's excellent form continued with a brace against Sunderland, as his goals added to Manchester City's 4-1 win at the Stadium of Light. Connor Wickham gave the hosts a surprising early lead, but goals from Aguero and Stevan Jovetic turned things around before half-time.
Pablo Zabaleta gave the visitors a two-goal cushion with a delightful chip, before Aguero put the final score on the board with his second of the evening.
As shared by The Sun Football, the Argentina international is on quite the run:
Romelu Lukaku gave Everton the lead against Hull City in the first half, but the Toffees couldn't keep their foot on the pedal and conceded early in the second to play out a disappointing 1-1 draw.
The Premier League stars will receive only a few days worth of rest, with the first fixtures of Week 15 already kicking off on Saturday.
Tuesday Recap

Liverpool finally found some goalscoring form by beating Leicester 3-1 away, after conceding the lead in the match from a Simon Mignolet own goal.
Goals from returning captain Steven Gerrard, Adam Lallana and Jordan Henderson sealed the much needed win for Brendan Rodgers' side.
BT Sport's Ian Darke praised the dogged Merseyside team for their win but also mentioned Leicester have enough to survive this campaign:

Manchester United also continued their recent strong form after notching yet a further league win to their name. Strikes from Marouane Fellaini and Juan Mata helped secure the 2-1 victory over Stoke City at Old Trafford.
A late surge from Mark Hughes' men almost snatched a point, but a dramatic save from David de Gea and a goal-line stop from Ashley Young earned United the victory.
Tuesday night also saw wins for Swansea—who defeated relegation candidates QPR by a 2-0 score—and away successes for Aston Villa and West Ham—who beat Crystal Palace and West Brom on their travels.
Swansea's win sees them temporarily leapfrog Arsenal into sixth place, but the Gunners will once again swap places with them if they can win on Wednesday.

It was an excellent evening for both United and Liverpool as they look to set their campaigns on track, but a special mention should go to West Ham, who continue their most unlikely of successes.
The Hammers sit in fifth place after losing only four games this term and the Upton Park club will feel they can have a strong Christmas period.
Swansea are also performing well above their station. The South Wales club is proving there is plenty of life left in them in terms of surviving in the Premier League.
