Manchester United will hunt a fourth Premier League win in succession when they welcome Stoke City to Old Trafford on Tuesday evening as the Red Devils continue a stacked period in their winter schedule.
Just three days after disposing of Hull City 3-0 at home, Louis van Gaal's men will undergo another test in front of their own fans, hoping to continue their recent run of success.
Mark Hughes' men have been in a different vein of form of late and risk a slip toward the relegation spots unless they can surmount the odds in away territory. Read on for viewing details and match preview ahead of the Old Trafford encounter.

Red Devils on the Rise

After winning three consecutive matches for the first time this season, United appear to be breaching new territory under Van Gaal, their most assured run since the Dutchman took over this summer.
The club is under pressure to see that streak continue against the visiting Potters, but the manager has voiced some concern with the bust nature of the English winter, per United's official website:
"In the Premier League, nothing is easy and when you see Liverpool struggling against Stoke City for 85 minutes, it shows. Every game is difficult, and that’s why the Premier League is exciting because you never know. There is an atmosphere in the stadiums, the fans are always supporting their club until the end and that’s fantastic. That’s why I want to work here in the Premier League.
I cannot change it, I don’t think it is good for the players that they play within two days of a match. December shall be like that, and we have also family. I also have a wife, and kids and grandchildren and I cannot see them at Christmas. But, I want to work in the Premier League so I have to adapt and I shall adapt.
"
Adapting is the minimum United's fans will expect of their helmsman during a period in which Sir Alex Ferguson's teams would regularly thrive, often turning around disappointing starts to the season at this juncture.
Musa Okwonga of ESPN FC believes the Red Devils are beginning to signal they can do just that:
After coping with a glut of unfortunate injuries, Manchester United are welcoming back their first-string staff bit by bit, and Saturday's routing of Hull showed they're capable of more than merely grinding out wins.
Van Gaal saw the Tigers result as an all-encompassing win and, per the official Premier League Twitter account, described it as the first time in which his team have dominated a fixture entirely:
Stoke present a vulnerable opponent at present, having lost 1-0 to Liverpool over the weekend and sitting just four points away from the relegation zone.
Another win on Tuesday would solidify the Red Devils' place in the top four, and depending on how Southampton fare at Arsenal on Wednesday, could even bring third spot within a single point.
Potters Fighting Against Old Trafford Record

Hughes' men have never recorded a Premier League win at Old Trafford, and just when it looked as though this might be the season they could end that drought, United once again look resilient at home.
Since the opening-day defeat to Swansea City, United have dropped just two points at Old Trafford, a 1-1 draw against leaders Chelsea, and so a mountainous project lies ahead for the Potters.
One positive note for the visiting outfit will be the absence of Angel Di Maria, who ESPN FC's Ben Dinnery confirms will be out after suffering injury on Saturday:
The Inside Left sees the rising form of Bojan as another hopeful aspect in Stoke's assault, with the Spaniard having scored or assisted a goal in two of his last three fixtures:
Stoke's last win at Old Trafford dates back almost 40 years to a 1-0 Division One triumph in 1976, since when they've gone on to claim just a single point when playing at United's hallowed ground.
As a player, Hughes raked in many a shining moment as a United player, but history dictates that Tuesday's trip to Old Trafford will be a tremendously difficult challenge for the travelling outfit.
