Premier League Table: Updated 2014 EPL Standings Following Matchday 11 Results
Chelsea's win against Liverpool at Anfield was another indication of their growing title credentials, as they came from behind to secure a 2-1 victory. But they were unable to extend their lead atop of the Premier League, as Southampton beat Leicester City 2-0 at St Mary's, continuing their remarkable run of form.

Manchester City lost vital points in the quest to retain their Premier League title, though, as they drew 2-2 with Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road; Manuel Pellegrini's side now find themselves eight points behind Chelsea.

Sunday also saw Stoke City pick up an excellent 2-1 win at the expense of a struggling Tottenham Hotspur outfit, while Newcastle continued their fine form, beating West Brom 2-0 at the Hawthorns. Sunderland continued their recent run of decent results, picking up a point in 1-1 draw against Everton at the Stadium of Light.

Sunday Recap
Arsenal Collapse At Swansea

Swansea heaped more misery onto Arsenal as they rallied from a goal down to beat the Gunners 2-1 at a rainy and raucous Liberty Stadium. Sigurdsson and Gomis were the heroes for the Swans, as they both scored late on to cancel out Sanchez's eighth goal of the Premier League season.
After surrendering a three-goal lead at home to Anderlecht in the Champions League in midweek, this latest slip did little to surprise many Arsenal supporters. Once again they resembled a side that was lacking in experience, defensive awareness and leadership at vital moments in the match, allowing Swansea to capitalise and take all three points.
OptaJoe affords us an indication of just how fragile this Gunners team can be:
"9 - Arsenal have lost more points from a winning position than any other Premier League team this season. Slips.
— OptaJoe (@OptaJoe) November 9, 2014"
Ultimately, Arsene Wenger's unwillingness to bolster his defensive options in the transfer window looks to be costing Arsenal and the Premier League title looks as though it's an unattainable totem this season with Chelsea racing clear atop of the table. Once again, the best Arsenal can hope for looks likely to be a top-four finish.

Indeed, if they didn't have Sanchez, who shone for the Gunners yet again, things could have been a lot worse for this side in what's been a wholly frustrating season. Wenger must ensure his players bounce back in their next clash when Arsenal welcome Manchester United to the Emirates, otherwise he could find himself under some severe pressure.
Misery For Spurs, Joy For Newcastle

Tottenham's miserable home form continued as they were beaten 2-1 by Stoke City at White Hart Lane. Goals from Bojan Krkic and Jonathan Walters gave the Potters a two-goal lead at the break and while a late Nacer Chadli goal gave Spurs some hope in the latter stages, a late red card for Kyle Naughton ended their hopes of a fight back.
It was another infuriating display from Spurs, and a match in which they failed to establish any kind of rhythm. The passing and pressing was sloppy throughout the course of the first period, and Stoke were expertly clinical in front of goal when the chances arose.

The White Hart Lane crowd haven't been treated to many good days this season, as noted here by WhoScored.com:
One of the teams that has taken three points from north London this season is Newcastle, and they won their fourth Premier League game in a row after a fine display against West Brom. A wonderful goal from Ayoze Perez and thumping header from Fabricio Coloccini gave the travelling Toon Army a 2-0 victory to celebrate, pushing them up to eighth place in the Premier League table.
It's been a remarkable turnaround for Alan Pardew and his team, who look to have placated much of the unrest that festered amongst the supporters. After a turbulent start to their campaign, the club look to be moving in the right direction and in Perez they have an exceptionally talented forward on their books.
Saturday Recap
Chelsea Machine Rolls On

Jose Mourinho's side came from behind to beat Liverpool 2-1 at Anfield, strengthening the Blues' stranglehold atop the Premier League. A deflected strike from Emre Can gave the Reds the lead early on, but a quick-fire response from Gary Cahill restored parity for the hosts before a second half strike from Diego Costa saw the Blues pick up all three points.
Chelsea showed remarkable resilience to emerge as victors, and after 11 games in the Premier League, they're looking increasingly likely to run away with this Premier League title race. Former Liverpool midfielder Didi Hamann admitted the Reds were well beaten:
Eden Hazard was typically menacing against the Liverpool back four, probing at Glen Johnson in particular throughout the match, but it was Costa who was the standout man. He battled magnificently at the sharp end of the Chelsea attack and was duly rewarded by his second half strike.
Despite Liverpool's recent troubles, Anfield is always a very difficult place to go and after taking three points here, the Blues now have five from their trips to Anfield, the Etihad Stadium and Old Trafford. You suspect Mourinho will be delighted with that return as the Blues march towards a third Premier League title under his tutelage.
Manchester City Slip Up Again

Manuel Pellegrini's side lost more ground to the Blues in the race for the Premier League title, and things could have been much worse for the champions, as they had to come from behind twice to salvage a point at QPR.
It was Sergio Aguero who saved the day for City, as goals from the Argentinian either side of half time pegged back Rangers, who had twice taken the lead through Charlie Austin and an own goal from Martin Demichelis. But you suspect a point will be little comfort for the City players, who are now eight points back from the league leaders.
To their credit, City have shown spades of resilience late in games, as noted here by OptaJoe:
But with David Silva and Vincent Kompany missing, this team is a shadow of the side that enthralled all with their magnificent brand of attacking football last season. Given recent poor results in the League Cup, Champions League and now the Premier League, City are in desperate need of a shake-up.
Credit, of course, must also go to QPR, who have staged something of a renaissance as of late. They've been outstanding in recent clashes against illustrious opponents, and for Harry Redknapp, the challenge now will be preserving that focus and energy against perceived lesser foes.
