Aston Villa, Tottenham Fined by FA
The FA confirmed that it has fined Aston Villa and Tottenham for their actions following the charge for player conduct:
Wednesday, Nov. 5
Tottenham and Aston Villa have been charged by the Football Association for an incident that occurred during Spurs' 2-1 win on Sunday.
According to the FA's website, "It is alleged that in or around the 66th minute of the game, the clubs failed to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion."
The incident in question was a scuffle between the players from both teams after Aston Villa's Christian Benteke took issue with several challenges levied against him and pushed Ryan Mason in the face with his palm.
Benteke was given a red card for the moment and a rather unruly scuffle broke out, albeit one with no major incidents beyond the Benteke red card.

After the match, Villa manager Paul Lambert expressed his disappointment with referee Neil Swarbrick's decision, per Stuart James of The Guardian:
"I don’t think we deserved that. The sending off, no doubt, changed the course of the game. I never saw the incident at the time, there was that much handbags [going on]. I’ve seen it since. I can’t condone what Christian did, lifting his hand, but also he was provoked. If you go back a frame in the video, you see the lad putting his head in Christian’s face.
I understand why Christian did it, but you won’t get away with it, lifting your hand. But I think my daughter can throw a harder forearm than that.
"
Mason wasn't carded for his role in the incident.
It will be interesting to see exactly what punishments are levied by the FA in this incident. While Villa likely won't be vindicated by any decision—going down a man and losing by a late goal can't be erased by a punishment for a Tottenham player—they will feel some justice should it be doled out in this incident, as Spurs escaped the initial scrap unpunished.
