Stevie Johnson, Anquan Boldin, Michael Crabtree's Post-Week 7 Fantasy Reaction
Colin Kaepernick knows how to spread the wealth around in the San Francisco 49ers' three- and four-wide receiver sets.
He's got a multitude of talented receivers to work with in the Bay Area, including Michael Crabtree, Anquan Boldin and Stevie Johnson. While this bodes well for the 49ers' outlook as a team, it's a weekly headache for fantasy owners looking to capitalize on Kaepernick's improving abilities as a passer.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Niners struggled to get on the board against the Denver Broncos in Week 7. Johnson was the main target in the first half, racking up four catches for 76 yards and a touchdown, his third in the last four games. It was a fine start, but as Pro Football Focus' Nathan Jahnke noted, he still had to share time with San Francisco's other talented wideout, Brandon Lloyd:
Johnson's big day might be a result of the extra work he's put in to develop a rapport with Kaepernick, per ESPN's Josina Anderson:
Crabtree was largely disappointing, picking up two catches for just nine yards by the midpoint of the third quarter.
Boldin accrued the most targets of any wideout in the first half and is possibly the most reliable fantasy football option of the bunch, but his failure to reach the end zone this season hurts his stock. He's a WR3 with some limited upside in PPR leagues.

Crabtree has yet to break the 100-yard barrier this season, but he has great hands and has three touchdowns on the season. However, his production is slowly dwindling, which bumps him down to WR3 status.
Johnson's fantasy outlook is a bit tougher to pin down. His two touchdowns prior to this contest came in games where the scoring play was also his only catch of the day. Johnson has just one game over 100 yards receiving on the season, but he was a perennial 1,000-yard receiver not too long ago. He's too volatile to recommend starting, but he could be a good bye-week replacement as a WR3 or flex option in 10- or 12-player leagues.
