Broncos Play Keep-Away with Peyton Manning's Record-Setting Touchdown Ball
Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning may not care about keeping too many footballs, but when he set the record for most touchdown passes in NFL history—well, that was different.
It's too bad his teammates wouldn't just hand him the ball.
Late in the second quarter of Denver's 42-17 win over the San Francisco 49ers, Manning threw an eight-yard touchdown pass to Demaryius Thomas to give the Broncos a 21-3 lead.

The touchdown was No. 509 in Manning's career, which broke a tie with Brett Favre for the most in NFL history.
Given that it was such a historic accomplishment, Manning wanted the ball. That's when his teammates decided to play a game of keep-away.
Unfortunately, Thomas admitted that the team practiced the prank previously.
Manning, who entered the night with 506 touchdown passes, finished with 318 yards passing and four scores, giving him 510.
