2014 Week 6 Fantasy Football Running Back Rankings

Ryan LesterOct 7, 2014

With another exciting week of football under our belts, here are the Lester’s Legends 2014 Week 6 fantasy football running back rankings.

1. Matt Forte, Chicago Bears

Matt Forte is averaging 123.6 total yards per game. He should run wild against the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons have allowed 147.6 yards and a pair of touchdowns per game on the ground.

2. Marshawn Lynch, Seattle Seahawks

Beast Mode is averaging 108 total yards and 1.5 touchdowns per game. He should continue to dominate this week against the Dallas Cowboys. The ‘Boys have allowed 122 rushing yards per game.

3. Le’Veon Bell, Pittsburgh Steelers

Le'Veon Bell is averaging 137.6 total yards per game. He faces the Cleveland Browns. The Browns have allowed 152.5 yards and 1.2 touchdowns per game.

4. Giovani Bernard, Cincinnati Bengals

Giovani Bernard is averaging 101.3 yards and 0.8 touchdowns per game. He squares off against the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers have allowed 129.6 rushing yards per game.

5. Arian Foster, Houston Texans

Arian Foster returned to form with 157 yards and a pair of touchdowns last week against the Cowboys. He should keep rolling against the Indianapolis Colts. The Colts have allowed 101.8 yards and a touchdown per game.

6. DeMarco Murray, Dallas Cowboys

DeMarco Murray is averaging 158.8 yards and 1.2 touchdowns per game. He has at least 100 yards in every game this year and last week was the first that he didn’t score a touchdown. He has a tough matchup against the Seahawks, but the Cowboys’ offensive line has been dominant.

7. Eddie Lacy, Green Bay Packers

Eddie Lacy finally lived up to his expectations by pounding the Minnesota Vikings for 132 total yards and a pair of touchdowns. That gives him three scores in the past two games. He’ll try to stay hot against the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins have allowed 107.3 rushing yards per game.

8. LeSean McCoy, Philadelphia Eagles

Shady is averaging 68.4 total yards with just one score. He only had 81 yards against a St. Louis Rams team that is allowing 152.5 rushing yards per game. McCoy only has 69 receiving yards. It’s getting hard to recommend him as a RB1, especially this week against the surging New York Giants.

9. Lamar Miller, Miami Dolphins

Lamar Miller has averaged 99.5 yards and a touchdown the past two weeks. He should stay hot against the Green Bay Packers. The Packers have allowed 163 yards and 1.2 touchdowns per game.

10. Frank Gore, San Francisco 49ers

Frank Gore recorded his second straight 100-yard game last week against the Kansas City Chiefs. He’s now averaging 86.6 total yards and 0.4 touchdowns per game. He should roll on the Rams.

11. Andre Ellington, Arizona Cardinals

Andre Ellington is averaging 100 total yards and 0.5 touchdowns per game. He faces the Washington Redskins.

12. Andre Williams, New York Giants

Assuming Rashad Jennings is unable to go due to a knee injury, Andre Williams becomes a strong replacement this week against the Eagles. He has averaged 74.5 total yards and a touchdown in the past two games. Philly has allowed 132 rushing yards per game.

13. Branden Oliver, San Diego Chargers

Branden Oliver racked up 182 total yards and a pair of touchdowns last week against the New York Jets as Donald Brown left with a concussion. He should produce again this week against the Oakland Raiders. The Raiders have allowed 158.3 yards and a touchdown per game.

14. Ronnie Hillman, Denver Broncos

Ronnie Hillman had 64 yards last week after Montee Ball went out with a groin injury. He has a good chance to establish himself as the lead back against the Jets.

15. Alfred Morris, Washington Redskins

Alfred Morris is averaging 69 yards and 0.6 touchdowns per game. He has another tough matchup against the Cardinals.
