Glen Johnson's time with Liverpool could be coming to an end after struggling to come to an agreement with the club on an extension.

According to The Guardian's Andy Hunter, Johnson was asked about the situation and explained, "I am just concentrating week by week and not thinking about it. Of course I want to stay but, like I say, I worry about this week, this week, and then next week, next week. That is how I live my life."
The 30-year-old player will become a free agent at the end of the 2014-15 season if nothing changes and will be able to sign with any club he wants.
Johnson has been a key member for Liverpool since coming over from Portsmouth in 2009. He has started at least 20 English Premier League matches in each of the past five years, including 36 contests during the 2012-13 season.
Unfortunately, an injury has limited the right-back for much of the current season and he was only able to make two starts in the club's first seven matches. The result has not been great for Liverpool as the squad has only earned three wins with three losses and a draw in that time.
When healthy, the English national is an attacking full-back who can make plays for others near the net. He also comes in with loads of experience and can provide plenty of leadership to the rest of the young roster.
Still, it seems as though the Reds are preparing to move on without the defender. BBC Sport reported last month Italian club Roma could be interested in bidding for Johnson if he was available:
"Monday's gossip column: Manchester United chase Cristiano Ronaldo and Mats Hummels, Roma target Glen Johnson, ... http://t.co/oiruxVw7fi

Javier Manquillo has shown plenty of promise at right-back in the meantime, and the 20-year-old could represent the future at the position for Liverpool.
