New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills

Here's a very intriguing matchup featuring two teams that currently find themselves atop the AFC East after some impressive Week 5 victories. The Bills moved to 3-2 despite making a big switch at the quarterback position, and the Patriots righted the ship in a big way, torching the previously undefeated Cincinnati Bengals to match Buffalo's record.

The Bills notched a big road win against the Detroit Lions after benching second-year quarterback EJ Manuel in favor of veteran journeyman Kyle Orton.

While Orton wasn't flashy, he did complete 30 of his 43 passing attempts for 308 yards, one touchdown and one interception for a passer rating of 88.1. He created some nice chemistry with rookie wide receiver Sammy Watkins and utilized running back Fred Jackson out of the backfield to create yards.

SportsNation was just as surprised as everyone else:

Although, Buffalo enters the upcoming contest against New England with an issue. The Bills only mustered an average of 2.2 yards per carry against the Lions, as C.J. Spiller continues to be held in check. Without a consistent running game, and facing a Patriots team allowing an average of just 196.6 yards through the air, the Bills offense has a tough task ahead.

On the other side of the coin, New England's offense came back with a vengeance against the Bengals on Sunday night. Tom Brady was heated and looked as prolific as ever, passing for 292 yards and two touchdowns. Stevan Ridley and Shane Vereen created a balanced running game that totaled 220 yards against a very stout Cincinnati defense.

The offensive line was a big reason for the team's newfound success, and Bleacher Report's Erik Frenz tweeted a few examples:

The Patriots racked up 505 total yards while allowing 320 to a team many viewed as one of the best in the league entering the game.

While the Bills did impress against the Lions, there may not be a team in the league that can beat this red-hot Patriots team right now. Momentum is key here, and New England will notch another victory in Week 6.

Prediction: Patriots 27, Bills 17

Pittsburgh Steelers at Cleveland Browns

This AFC North bout comes with much more significance than many anticipated. With the Bengals and Baltimore Ravens suffering losses in Week 5, the Steelers and Browns find themselves in the thick of the race for the division title. These teams last faced off in Week 1 in Pittsburgh, with the Steelers earning a tight 30-27 victory.

The Browns enter this contest with a plethora of momentum after overcoming a 25-point deficit to the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. After starting slowly, quarterback Brian Hoyer orchestrated the stunner, completing 21 of his 37 passing attempts for 292 yards, three touchdowns and one interception on the day. He was complemented nicely by the return of Ben Tate, who rushed 22 times for 123 yards.

After the game, we learned Hoyer has some dance moves as well, via Bleacher Report NFL:

Cleveland's defense did allow 410 yards to the Titans; however, it didn't allow a single second-half point to Tennessee on Sunday. Remarkably enough, the Browns enter Week 6 with a 2-2 record and just a two-point scoring differential—103 points for and 105 points against.

The Steelers' season can certainly be described as unstable. While the team boasts a winning record, it lost to the previously winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 4 and just barely squeezed past the winless Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 5.

Pittsburgh's defense played very well against rookie signal-caller Blake Bortles and Co. The unit allowed just three field goals, zero touchdowns, 243 total yards and 12 first downs while forcing two turnovers. However, the team's offense is currently its weak point.

Jacksonville has the absolute worst defense in the NFL. Ranked 32nd in yards allowed and 32nd in points allowed, this team has been steamrolled each and every week this season—until Week 5. While quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was efficient, completing 26 of his 36 passing attempts for 273 yards and a touchdown, and the team accumulated 111 yards on the ground, the Steelers only came away with 10 offensive points.

The quarterback's words to the team's defense summed it up pretty well, via Around the NFL:

Cleveland has been more impressive by the week, but Pittsburgh remains inconsistent on the offensive side of the ball. Not only do the Browns look like the better team right now, but they're playing at home.

Prediction: Browns 24, Steelers 20
